Meaning:

As the fox of old mouth scream,

One Who ventures dance at the cemetery!

Oh the Consort of the Daughter of mountain,

Who wears fresh mature flower of honeyful konRai!

Won't the devotees be worried, if they

see You begging in the scared skull?

Isn't this (begging for me) like that (begging at dhArukavanam)?

Oh the Mother at thirukkaccUr AlakkOyil!

Notes:

1. After cundharar worshipped the Lord at the

abode of thirukkaccUr and came out, he

was feeling quite hungry, as the people who

used to get him food did not arrive. Lord came

in the disguise of a vedin, begged food in the

town and fed cundharar and his people who arrived

then. As they were having the food, the Lord disappeared.

Stunned cundharar with tears in eyes, sang this padhikam

hailing the way the Supreme God is making Itself simple

and caring for the devotees.
