Meaning:

As others hail and devotees worship,

in the appearance of loving ones I had stayed!

Fully believing in the statement that, " elephant may be caught

in the net put for rabbit! " , going behind those who try,

I have seen at the prosperous city of thirukkazumalam,

where the kayal fish play with cEl fish in the fields,

the Torrential rain, the Wealth, the Glitter of gold,

the Form of lightning, the Substance in me!

Notes:

1. cundharar, had great reverence towards cambandhar

and appar. When he came near thirukkazumalam (cIrkAzi),

the place where cambandhar was born, he did not want

to step inside the town that the prodigy wandered.

So he circumambulated the frontier. At that time the

Lord of thirukkazumalam appeared in front of him.

cundharar sang in that ecstacy this padhikam.

as good as this. Even considering that our Lord shiva

comes and gets locked with us - just due to Its limitless grace.
