Meaning:

One Who has ear-ring-ball shining in ears;

One Who does the dire job of kicking the death;

One Who has the beetle rhyming floral konRai;

One Who has the shining serpent and moon residing twined hair;

The poison throated, my mother-like Ekamban

worshipped in abundant love by the keNdai fish like

long nice eye Lady uma - to see Him,

I, the slave, have got eye.

Notes:

1. cundharar who lost the sight of both the eyes,

as he left thiruvoRRiyUr, got the sight of one at

kAnchipuram. This is the padhikam sung in the ecstasy

of seeing the Lord hugged in devotion by Mother uma.

(This padhikam is sung as cure for problems in left eye.
