Meaning:

Other than the Feet that is sung and hailed by viShNu,

I do not have any hold, You see!

Oh the King of shivapuram, You sought (me) and enfolded!

Oh the shiva residing at thirupperunthuRai!

My dissent would be with You; My delight will be You;

What I convey to You is my determination;

Having withered out, I cannot live here!

Bless saying, " Come! "

Notes:

1. The complete focus and determination that none

other than Lord shiva matter, are evident in these

lines of the saint. He emphasizes the same

throughout the padhikam (AroDu nOgEn yArkku

eDuththuraikkEn ANDa n^I aruLilaiyAnAl...).

Only this firm grip on God will release one from

the other bondage. Hence the noble people have

given the subtitle to this padhikam as mukthi

upAyam (tactic for liberation).
