Meaning:

I left the thirupperunthuRai that cleared my filth,

changing the tears in the eyes of me, who got muddled;

I am the one inflicted by vinai;

I do not know any development further!

I got baffled without finding

Your glowing Perfect Feet in the place kept!

You came, demystifying and showed

at thirukkazukkunRu.

Notes:

1. maNivAsagar rejoiced the grace of the Lord

at thirupperunthuRai. However he had to leave

thirupperunthuRai. He is lamenting his attachment

to vinai (karma) here. He lost the glorious Feet of

God he got at thirupperunthuRai and struck with

gloom due to that. At that time the Form of mercy,

Lord shiva, gave him the darshan of His glorious Feet!

2. In the spiritual journey, one may find him/her

in a quite elevated state. However it is very common

to fall from that high pedestal. One has to make

continuous effort to hold on to the Feet of God.

(It may become an effortless effort at some point.)
