In Kanjanur (Sukran sthalam) 17 kms from Kumbakonam city, celebrated

Aadipooram festival on 15Aug07. Abishekam and alangaram was performed

to Shri Karpagambal (Urchavar) and was taken procession to the banks

of Cavery via Thuhili Agraharam (a village next to Kanjanur).

 

People in every home in Thuhili Agraharam offered flowers, dress,

naivedhya etc to Shri Karpagambal when She pass thru Agraharam

(street) and worshipped Her with great Bhakthi. When procession

reached the banks of Cavery, Theerthavari performed. Later in the

evening Abishegam and Alangaram performed to Her there. Again Ambaal

was taken procession back from the banks of Cavery and reached the

temple the same day late night via Thuhili Agraharam. People worshiped

Her again when She comes down thru every house.

 

This Thihili Agraharam is like Her own house like where She was born

(like Ambaal's Pirantha Veedu). So people here, make all offering to

Her like offering to the One in their family with Love and Bhakthi

(like Namma Aththu Ponnu).

 

I was there in Thuhili village this time. (one among people in Thuhili

Agraharam) It was a fantastic experience for me.
