Guest guest
This temple is on the banks of Narmada. Sri Aurobindo visited in the year 1908 on the persuation of his friends, as he himself had at that time NO Faith in idols or image worship. He wrote subsequently : " With my European Mind, i had no faith in them and hardly believed in the presence of God in such images. But when i looked at the Idol of Ambaaa I found a living prescence deatlhless and divine, voiceless, omnipotent, inscrutable, mute in the desert and the sky and deep, a form that harbours all infinity .... For the first time I beleived in the presence of God.
