Guest guest
We first went to Gauwhathi. Before going to Kamakya temple we were taken to Bashist Ashram (Vasishtar). The linga to which he did pojja and the Ambal are there. The are in the album.Next we went to Kamkya.Tradition has it that Sati Devi's yoni fell here. There is no idol of Ambal there. But theree is a piece of rock with water flowing, which represents Ambaal. You can feel the sanithiam as soon as you enter the temple.Animal sacrifices take place.A priest was good enough to take uo and do pooja.I paid him only the normal dakshins.Since photography is not permitted I have taken a photo of the temple gopuram. There is also a navagraha temple there in Gauwhathi. Later we went by train to New Jalpaiguri (railway station for Siligurui).20-25 Kms from Siliguri there is another Sakthi Peetham at Vaikunthpur where Sati Devi's forehead fell. There also you can feel the presence of Ambaal. In front of the temple there a tree which has Aal.Arasu and Vilvam joined together/There are no sacrifices in this templeThe Ambaal name is Bhrammri Devi PBK
