Guest guest
Dear devotees, Tripurasundari holds 4 ayudhas in her 4 hands. They are Pasa, Ankusa, Kodanda (Bow) and pancha pushpa banaas (5 arrows of flowers). Specific bijas and mantras are associated with each ayudha. Mantra anushtana of those bijas are undertaken for specific purposes. The bija uddharas are given below: 1) Pasa : AM Lalitha sahasranama says ‘Raga swarupa pasaadya’. The varna ‘A’ denotes the ‘Raaga’. Hence, pasa bija is ‘AM’ (Sarada Tilaka Tantra). But Bhasurananda taken “HRIM” as pasa bija. 2) Ankusa ; KROM Lalitha Sahasranama says “Krodhaakara Amkusojwala”. “KRO” is taken from “Krodhaakara” and “AM” is taken from “Amkoshojwala”. It becomes “KROM”. This is amkusa bija. 3) Kodanda : DHAM Lalitha Sahasranama says “Mano Rupekshu Kodanda”. Kodanda is also called “Dhanuh”. Hence, “DHAM” is the bija of Kondanda. 4) Pancha Pushpa Baana (5 arrows) : DRAM, DREEM , KLEEM , BLOOM , SAH Lalitha sahasranama says “Pancha Tanmaatra Sayaka”. These 5 tanmaatras are the 5 vishayas of 5 gross elements. (1) Sabda – Sound (2) Sparsha – Touch (3) Rupa – Form (4) Rasa – Taste (5) Gandha – Smell. These 5 are the tanmaatras of 1) Akasa 2) Vaayu 3) Agni 4) Jala 5) Prithvi. As per Vamakeshwara Tantra, these 5 tanmaatras are the arrows and mind the Ikshu Kodanda These arrows are of 3 types: 1) Sthula 2) Sukshma 3) Para. Sthula is the form of flower as described above. Sukshma is the form of Mantra. Para is the form of Vasanas or Tendencies. The Jnanarnava Tantra says that there are 5 aspects related to these 5 flowers: 1) Kshobhanam 2) Draavanam 3) Aakarshanam 4) Vashyam 5) Unmaadam Tantra Raja says: 1) Madana 2) Unmada 3) Mohana 4) Deepana 5) Soshana The respective flowers are: 1) Kamala 2) Kairava 3) Kalhaara 4) Indivara 5) Sahakara The Bijaaksharas related to above flowers are: 1) DRAM 2) DREEM 3) KLEEM 4) BLOOM 5) SAH Respectively.
