Guest guest
Dear devotees, As sri krishnan pointed out the importance of nama sankirtan, it is indeed true. As Saint Tyaagaraja says " Telisi Rama Chintana..... " in telugu ie., First know the rama tattva and then chant his name. And so as Gita, Vishnu and Lalitha Sahasraanama. First the tattva of these devataas should be assimilated and then the chanting would be fruitful. I would like to add one incident in Sringeri. Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati Swamigal, the parama guru of the present pontiff of Sringeri, once was during the parayana of lalitha sahasranama and was in his blissful state. A pseudo-vedanti (the so called advaitic scholar) came for the darshan of the swamigal and was surprised to see swamigal chanting a simple lalitha sahasranama (in view of this scholar) and pointed out why he was doing the parayana instead of reflecting on Brahma Sutra Bhaashyas and Prasthana Traya being a Muthadhipati of Sringeri (Seat of Advaitic learning). Swamigal pointed very pitifully that is not the name " Mithya Jagath Adhistana " in lalitha sahasranama the essence of all advaita vedanta. And saying so, relapsed into the same blissful mood. I am mentioning this incident just to reiterate the view of sri krishnan . With regards, sriram. Siva Mukunda Paahi.. Chat on a cool, new interface. No download required.
