If one strictly adheres to all the rules, does Japam with certain counts for so many days, has the Mano Bhavam etc., I understand the other factors such as Guru Kataksham, Iswara Kripa, Karmas etc., We at time hear that people who didn't follow any of the above gets a sudden Siddhi and the other way around also. Guest guest Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 Namasthe, as per scriptures, when a devotee who is properly initiated, would attain the manthra siddhi when he chants the mantra equivalent to akshara laksha of the mantra, folllowed by performing one tenth of the count he has chanted -- as homa, one tenth count of homa should be given as tarpanam and lastly, to the equivalent of one tenth of tarpanam count, the brahmins should be fed. It is also not uncommon to see some devotees getting siddhi even after chnating few thousands of mantras. the only possible explanation that could be given is -- this was the balance count left out in the last janma which had prevented the devotee from getting siddhi in the last janma itself. regards ganapathy subrabalaji <subrabalaji wrote: Hello Learned Members, Are there any general rules for attaining Manthra Siddhi. Guest guest Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 a person with a mantra siddhi generally helps a common folk to get over certain problem ( karmic or may be a suffering due to aabichara pryoga ) Such persons are known through references and the siddar himself wouldnt claim about his siddhies. Guest guest Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 sorry, before completing the mail, the earlier mail was accidentally sent. mantra siddhi is also a handicap and many times few go to a great extent to demonstrate it to boost their ego or earn money and popularity ,and in the process lose their tapas . ashtama siddhies are a sort of byeproduct of mantra siddhies and as paramahamsa puts it , it should be treated like waste and if not it would bind you ,to make you fall from the elevated spirtual position. Do you think that the Divine Mother will emancipate only after calling her 1000 times. No. If a devotee cannot have the presence of Divine Mother by one call, that means he is not tuned to the divine energy or the Guru who had initiated him is not capable of transmitting the divine energy or the Guru has not attained that level. That is all. Srividhya is brahma vidhya which is for the soul and not for the body and mind. One has to go beyond body and mind and not simply be stuck up in all these mundane. Once he is merged with the Divine Energy, all purusharthas come by themselves including abundance of welath, good health, longivity, diivine environment, peace of mind, a great mind to transmit everything he has acquired to everyone without seeking any return, abundance of gratitude to the master etc. Let us all pray that every devotee of Divine Mother get these.
