Regarding mantra siddhi and Apasavya Marga

Dear devotees of Mother,

Every technical jargons in veda and tantra has both vachyartha and

lakshyartha. For example, GOW which means Cow in Sanskrit which is vachyartha.

But the lakshyartha is “Prosperity”, “Effulgence or Luminance”.

In Veda, a Somayaji is one who performs the Somayaga and takes part in the

Somarasa Pana. But, only he alone is a Dikshitar and Somayaji one drinks the

Somarasa that oozes from Sahasrara Chakra. Mooladhara Chakra is the Agni Vedika

and the Agni shining there is the Sroutha Agni.

Similarly, the 5 M’s of the tantra denote the Lakshyartha and should not be

confused with Vachyartha. The real essence is hidden from common man and it has

to be decoded with the help of gurunatha.

As regards, Savya Marga and Apasavya Marga, it is the difference in Ascent of

Kundalini through Sushumna Marga that decides these paths. It is also the

Pitriyana and Devayana paths of the Jiva.

As regards the Naivedya, Sri Dipakanatha and Sri Sivanandanatha clearly

mentions in their commentary of Nityashodasikarnava, these aspects. Moreover, it

is the Milk mixed with Honey which is very superior form of naivedya.

Do not pester poor household ladies who are burdened with household work with

all sorts of naivedyas to satisfy one's gluttony.

As regards the Mantra Siddhi, I don’t understand the benchmarks set for it.

Whether a person having psychic powers and vision of Mantra Devata is a Siddha

or not is a debatable question. Because, Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni was a great

Mantra Siddha of Siva Panchakshari.

He did 5 crores of Panchakshari Japa, read entire Rig Veda, got initiated in

Sodashakshari, Tara, Chinnamasta blah blah…..Had vision of Siva. Had vision of

Divine Mother Bhuvaneshwari at Orissa. Probably, he was the greatest of

tantriks and vedic scholars of early 20th century.

Still he did not have the knowledge of the Siva Tattva until he came to

Tiruvannamalai and met Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi.

Thought provoking!!!!

With regards,

sriram

Is the somayaga done with the intention of achieving mokSha?

Do the shrouta texts talk of the somarasa as oozing from sahasrara?

Why is there a tendency to explain everything in terms of mokSha?

Primarily because mantra-s dont((atleast in shankara

advaita)give mokSha by themselves.

They help in the process. But they are such useful tools to achieve

mokSha, that they cannot be dispensed with for the common folk.

As an example one can have siddhi of x,y,z mantra-s and still be a

vicious person.
