Dear Ganapathy-ji,

 

Just a gentle reminder that this list focus is devoted to devotional

works that adhere to samayaachaara/daxinaachara, and not vAmachara.

This is not to claim superiority of one over the other, but to

maintain a focus, and more importantly, in keeping with our beloved

AchAryAl's hridayam.

Divine MOther to all varnas. No creature can claim a monopoly on Her

grace. <<

 

Furthermore, there is nothing in Shri Venkata Sriram's post that

suggests anything about superiority of a particular varNa, or that

HER grace is only for a particular varNa, to suggest such a thing

misrepresents what he said.

 

Dear Satish-ji, this is not about " protesting " vaamachaara or

anything else for that matter, but about the list focus being

devotional works adhering to samayaachaara/daxinaachara.

 

Maybe we could spend more time discussing AchAryA's commentaries in

line with

Dear Sridhar Ji

 

What is Kowlachara has been explained clearly in Pujya Dr Goda Sastrigal Book

which contains all accepted Bhashyam of our elders and nowhere it is mentiomed

offering bali and drinks to ambaaji would attract bad karma or ignorance. The

emphasis is observation and upholding the tradition of their kula and ambaa

loves this form of worship also.

 

The issue is not about focus of this group but the devotees of this group have

to be given the right explanation on LS.( This is not about a particular mail

but a set of mails.)

 

On a personal level I have the Brahminic anushtanams and as Maha Periyaval

puts it is unfortunately our ancestors have practiced untouchability ie

commanding others, instead of abstaining from the public if they thought that it

was diturbing their anushtanams.
