Guest guest
Dear balaji / devotees, This is the continuation of my earlier mail with some additional information. The Praana Shakti (Vital Energy) of an individual which is spread across one’s body, permeates 96 Angushta Pramanas in the body and 12 angushta pramanas above the brahmarandra (the very subtle spot on our head). When the person passes away, the Prana which permeates 96 angushta pramanas (approx. inches) leaves the gross body. But the 12 angushta pramana prana which is above the Brahmarandra would still remain as the subtle body (sukshma prana). Hence, the Antya Kriyas of the dead person (the formalities of the dead person) is performed for 12 days. Every day, this 12 inch pranas gets depleted. And on the 12th day, when Vaikunta Samaradhana is performed, depending upon the Karma (Action) of the dead person, the sukshma sarira (subtle body with vasanas) ascends the higher world choosing either Devayana (Path of Light) or Pitriyana Margas (Path of Darkness). Guest guest
this is perfect! the email comes as an amazing coincidence! I have been pondering on the following ....etadvai jaraamaryamagnihotra{\m+}satra.n ya eva.n vidvaanudagayane pramiiyate devaanaameva mahimaana.n gatvaadityasya saayujya.n gachchhatyatha yo dakshiNe pramiiyate pitR^iNaameva mahimaana.n gatvaa chandramasaH saayujya.n gachchhat... The above passage is clear on the outcome when a vidvan (upasaka) passes away in either Uttarayanam or Dakshinayanam but what determines when ambaal decides when an upasaka leaves the mortal frame either in uttarayanam or dakshinayanam? the emails regarding savya/apasavya margas has been making that clearer and clearer. just a side on the samayAchara and vAmAchara my summation is that: one is slower (maybe much slower possibly several lifetimes) but safer. The other is faster but harder and fraught with perils. Either walk along the well paved and well lit road or try the shortcut through the forests, it is no coincidence that the characters are Suratha and Samadhi. The marga chosen by Su-ratha required great strength, courage and fearlessness that only a kshatriya king possessed. The maraga of Samadhi, one of self negation would not have been possible by Suratha as it goes against his natural tendencies and vice versa. The point that I take away from it is that Amabaal provides enjoyment as well as liberation dhik balam kSatriya balam brahma tejo balam balam | ekena brahma daNDena sarva as.htraaNi hataani me regards Vishwam venkata sriram <sriram_sapthasathi Wednesday, February 20, 2008 4:28:04 AM Continuation of the count of japa Dear balaji / devotees, This is the continuation of my earlier mail with some additional information.
