Guest guest
Dear gopi, Namaste. Rajitha has well understood my pulse and what i was driving at. It is this Vairochani in 2nd rik of durga sukta which is called Chinnamasta. The mantra drashta addresses the Vairochani shakti rupa Prachanda Chandi / Indrani / Chinnamasta saying that " Thou art the Effulgent and Luminous One and Giver of fruits of Action " . As i have mentioned that this Durga Sukta is addressed to Agni in feminine gender. She is Durga because this Jataveda rupa Agni is not reachable even for yogis (durbhedya) and the remover of the troubles (Durga Durgaarti Nasini). Yaska and Ganapati muni are of the same opinion. Tara is unmanifested sound (Avykta Vak) which is also called Jatavedas. The effulgence of this Jatavedas is extolled in Durga Sukta as well as in Sri Sukta. In sri suktam " Hiranya Varnaam Harineem.......Jatavedo Ma Avaha " , it is this effulgence or luminence of Jatavedas which is being welcomed for the prosperity of the sadhaka. Suvarna Rajathasrajaam is the entire matrika varnamala that is poetically described as the necklace / ornament of this effulgence. Which implies that this luminence is 'Vak' in the form of Para, Pashyanti, Madhyama, Vaikhari Nada which has Matrika Varnamala as her ornaments. It is this Vak that shines as Agni in Veda. Hence, vedas says " Tejo Mayee Vak " ie, Vak is of the form of Lusture, Effulgence, Luminance. It is this luminent, effulgent Vak that is being extolled in Durga Sukta. Since she is of Primordial Nada in the form of OM, she is TARA in the 1st rik and since she is efffulgent and luminant one shining with Indra she is Vairochani. This Vairochani (the power of Indra / Rudra) which is the bestower of fruits of action. And hence, Karma Phaleshu Justam. The weapon Vajra in the hands of Indra is the symbolic representation of Vajra Vairochani Shakti. This Durga Rupa Agni / Vak Sukta is the only Sukta in Rig veda which propounds Prapatti to the Divine Mother. " Durgaam Devim Sharanam Aham Prapadhye.. " Yaka and Ganapati Muni both were of the same opinion. I would like to mention an incident with Brahmarishi Daivarata who was the disciple of Ganapati Muni. Some of the traditional scholars asked and questioned the Vedic Analysis of Daivarata. Daivarata was a Rig Vedic scholar and analysed the riks and mantras as per Yaska Nirukta. It had certain deviations from Vidyaranya Bhashya. Then Daivarata answered that one need not always go by the Bhashya of Vidyaranya if one has understood the heart of rishi (rishi or mantra drashta's hridaya) and asked that what was the mode of vedic analysis prior to vidyaranya, sankara etc..The traditional vedic scholars who studied Vidyaranya Bhashya were satisfied with the answers of Daivarata and conferred the title " Brahmarishi " on him. He was the person whom Sringeri Acharya Chandrasekhara Bharati felicitated with Kashmir Shawl. With regards, sriram. Download prohibited? No problem. CHAT from any browser, without download. Guest guest
Dear Brother, When you say " Hiranyavarnam " I recall an episode which i had with our most beloved Maha periaval. I had drawn perfectly the sriyantra as per measurements recommended in mantra sastras and was filling up various sectors to the respective colours. However I felt it was not at all appealing inspite of several attempts, because the background colour was not looking Divine and vibrating. Therefore I took the picture to Paramacharyal, who looked at it and immediately asked some one to bring a gist of his talk in one of the seminars held in South India. it was read but i could not understand. Then he asked me as to who is the first lady of the Universe and I blinked. Then he said that Lakshmi is the first lady of the universe. Then He asked me what is the colour of Lakshmi for which also i felt ignorant. He said Lakshmi is Golden colour and therefore the background of the sriyantra should also be golden colour. When I filled up the golden colour, I was spell bound because the Sriyantra came to full bloom and Divine life spreads its aroma immediately. Therefore Hiranyavarnam means Golden colour rather than golden light. One should also remember how importance we should give to women, because they represent the Srichakra itself.
