Guest guest
Dear Devotees of Ambaal, I would like to share with you this short piece of information on Goddess Bagalamukhi. Bagala is a Goddess of speech. Bagala is the external manifestation of Tara. Tara is an aspect of Vak (The Speech). The Vak has got two forms. One is Nada (the Sound) that manifests as Pranava Nada and the other is Teja that manifests as Light. The Bagala is this Light aspect of Vak. When sound becomes manifest as light, Tara becomes Bagala. When the brilliant light of speech gushes froth, then Tara gains the effulgence of Bagala and cause all things to become still. Bagala is thus the “Sthambana Sakti” or the “Stunning Power”. Bagala gives a power of speech that leaves others silent in philosophical debates. Bagala turns each thing into its opposite. She turns speech into silence, knowledge into ignorance, power into impotence, defeat into victory. She represents the knowledge whereby each thing must in time becomes its opposite. As the still point between dualities she allows us to master them. We contact her grace when we see the opposite hidden in each situation and are no longer deceived by appearances. To see the failure hidden in success, the death hidden in life, or the joy hidden in sorrow are ways of contacting her reality. Bagala is the secret presence of the opposite wherein each thing is dissolved back into the Unborn. Her color is yellow. She is clad in yellow clothing and is adorned with yellow ornaments and yellow flowers. With her left hand she catches hold of her opponent's tongue and with her right hand she strikes him on the head with her mace. This is the symbolic representation of “Vaak Sthambana” or “Stillness of Speech”. The Bagala Upasaka should meditate on the Uvula which is the soft lump of flesh that hangs down the middle of the throat from the soft palate. The uvula plays an important role in the articulation of the sound of the human voice to form the sounds of speech. This “Uvula” is called “Indra Yoni”. This is the “Indra Yoni Vidya”. When thus meditated, the Sthambana or Stillness of Mind is achieved. In Raja Yoga, this is called “Chitta Vritti Nirodha”. Bagala Devi thus blesses her children with Stillness of Mind and dissolves the Speech into Silence. With regards, Sriram Did you know? You can CHAT without downloading messenger. Guest guest
Dear Brothers/Sisters, I am making this appeal for the attention of the Divine souls for their response. I am looking for a good supply of old rudrakshams.I am using these for doing abishekam to Siva and his consort in highly dilapidated siva temples requiring renovation and rejunevation to increase the energy and to attract bakthas to take care of the temple. I have been doing this for some time but now there is short supply of real and good rudrakshams. Can any one of you help me. Incidentally I am planning to bring our Sarabha Kalpam, Bhagala vidhanam, Tara/Neela saraswathi vidhanam, etc., and upasakas having any material on this either in sanskrit or tamil may kindly forward them to me, and I shall return them intact after copying. If they have these material on their computer, they can e.mail me, indicating the font required to download. This help will be greatly acknowledged in the publication. Perhaps you know that I have published several books and most of them are distributed and in future I propose to upload them in the website for free downloading. I would also like to publish a booklet of all chakras/yantras with mantras inscribed therein, if possible with their puja vidhanam, and I find most of the material published are defectlve. Anyone having chakras in their possession can forward the same to me for necessary action. i do not understand telugu and grantha libhi and those having the material in telugu/grantha libhi can translate the same into sanskrit or english phonetic and send it to me. I will ever be grateful to them. Regarding Andhyeshti, there is no proper and simple version and I find most of the upasakas are not aware of it. i want to bring out a simple edition of the same for everyone to understand and follow, so that the requirements of disposal of the body of devi upasakas are done properly. Please help if you can. Regards, S.SHANGARANARAYANAN SATHYANANDHANATHAR : sriram_sapthasathi: Mon, 10 Mar 2008 06:53:46 +0000 Reg.
