I could be wrong here but in the mAta~NgI sahasranAma, I dont recall seeing the specific names sachiveshI, mantriNI or those names which stress the relation of rAjashyAmalA as the prime minister of tripura sundarI. namaste

Again rAjashyAmalA is same as rAjamAta~NgI Some specific points in the visualisation of rAjashyAmalA are that She/It is Refined, Royal, Lordly, and teeming with outright Arrogance (in a positive way) or sort of Haughty. I agree that they are the same Devata but have a difference in their context. Shyamala or Mantrini is in the context of Shrikula as a primeminister of Tripurasundari as Rajarajeshvari. The Lalitopakhyana places her in the retinue of Tripura as the minister along with Varahi who is the commander and they kill demons Vishukra and Vishanga (who kills who may be interchanged). But Matangi is a part of the 10 Devatas of Dashamahavidya series. Here she shows no specific association with Tripurasundari who is one of the other 10 Devatas in this series. This is similar to how in the Hadividya Krama Bagalamukhi and Tara (who is also in Sadividya) come as devatas associated with Tripurasundari but occur as independent Devatas of the Dashamahavidya series. Laghumatangi occurs completely independently as Sumukhi. But the identity of these is established because the same Geyachakra is used in the archana of all of them. This said the Shankaracharya Girvanendra in his Mantrashastra Granth associates Rajamatangi and Laghumatangi generally with Shrividya so they may cross between the two contexts Rajita
