Objectives: They say some rituals should be performed daily and some at specific times of the year. By not performing these it is said one will incur sin. There are no(if -not incurring sin- does not count) objectives for some of these. A few are done to attain svarga/material and non-material benefits. Others are performed to aid one in the quest for ultimate Ananda/or ending of all suffering(mokSha if you want to call it). There are seperate rituals for various contexts which bring the favor of various devata-s for the well being, to heal or to ward-off upadrava-s(calamities/misfortunes).
