Guest guest
This blank verse below was Inspired by: TN Seshagopalan's rendering of " Meenakshi Me mudham " and the quotation below: > This is not completely true. If something is > illogical and not > sanctioned by the shastra-s it should be abandoned. > > It is good to follow one's teacher but if it is > found that it has no > basis in the shastra-s, it should be abandoned and > the right procedures > should be followed. Title: In Your Circle My Mother! Queen with thousand names and more! You have seen everything, you are the witness, the field of action and the action thyself. I am not seeking the treasures of siddhis I am seeking alm - a drop of your Grace In the streets of Wise men who worship you; They are the ones with pedigree, glow of knowledge and details of your glory They know what your names mean and promise to tell me the meanings They say I am not ready. They ask me to be patient for many more lives They look at me - a beggar with a body tattered with age and habits, a heart - battered with the ways of living in your creation and a mind - confused and tired of searching through the books For the very meanings of your Names They say those names are the packets of your Glory. They say I am not ready. They say many others are not ready or wrong. They say they are the ones who are always correct They say they can explain everything Even You. They say they know the Path to you. They say they know thy Will. They say you are what is written in the scriptures That You, Para, Above, Beyond, Transcendent Mother, are what is written in the books, letters, constructions, ancient formulae, what their Teachers told them They quote ancient words of beings of Light who had Soaked in your rain of Grace drops. I am seeking a drop of your Grace, Mother. I am confused. I am lost. I do not feel I can find you in The streets of these Wise men and women. What I hear from them, More I hear them I feel further away from You. I get lost in their words, in their rules I get lost in their arguments, I get lost in their assertions. Are you just these words? Transcendent Mother, can your Will be cloaked and locked in between the pages, and lines, in the lockets of scriptures, Are you Untold or a spoken word? I am seeking a drop your Grace mother. Just like a Dravidian Child, centuries back, cried for Milk. I am tired mother, I am scared. I do not know the words, I do not know the teachers, I do not how to make the Wise happy, that They will share the meanings of your Names. In the streets where these Wise men and women Ride on their white elephants, Mother, I see a few others. They appear to be ragged, They do not seem to speak anything legible. I ask them for you. I ask them for the words, their meanings and the origins. I ask them the formula to get your Grace. I tell them I do not have a pedigree. I tell them I do not know the scriptures. I tell them I cannot quote any rules and so Call others wrong. I tell them I am not one of the Wise. I tell them I can not be one of the Wise. Their eyes twinkle. Their face light up by the mere mention of You. They tell me they are not the Wise ones either. Some had been once. They are different, Mother. They do not fit any of the rules of the Wise. They do not say I must or should. They tell me we are all running In a big Circle. Looking for you. Even I, along with them. And the Wise men and women too. They say I carry the weight of my questions. They say the Wise carry the weight of the answers. They ask me to drop them and run for You. They say all the running and the Circle are You. I still do not know the words, Mother, Nor the pedigree I should get into. I still do not know the ruless, Mother, Nor how ways to say who is wrong or right. But I know how your smile would be From the twinkling eyes of these unorthodox masters. I know. I understand. I am quiet. I still seek a drop of your Grace, But bother no more to ask for it, Mother. I am running mother, in your Circle. -gopal --- Satish <satisharigela wrote: > , " Kumar Ramachandran " > <kramach > wrote: > > > > > > > Every Gurumandalii has its own set of > interpretations of various > texts, which are disputed and contested by others. > > This is why it is important to follow one's Guru. > > This is not completely true.
