Can any one elobrate on Chakra Homam.,?

 

Some people contend it as Shri Chakra Homam and others Say it is

Sudarshana Homam .,

 

if it is indeed Shri Chakra Homam ., can any one provide the steps

involved or the homa vidhanam?

sudarsana homam is differcent from srividhya homam (srichakra homam), Srichakra

homam is done as per aavarnas and also using the moola mantra of

panchadasakshari and maha shodasi, whilst sudarsana homam is done with sudarsana

mantra attached to rik.

Dear sir,

If you are already initiated in Panchadasi or Maha Shodasi you can do the

srividhya homam. First invoke Divine energy into the fire which becomes the

divine mother herself and no more a carrier. After invocation, you can start

doing the haven starting from shadangam and then gurumandalam upto the end of

the 10th avarana.Before that all patra sadanam as per procedure should be there,

as the homam will be an anga of the aavarna pooja.

Folks:

 

There are various beeja mantras that must be correctly pronounced and 10

mudras that must be correctly performed. These must be learnt directly from a

Guru. Also, in some traditions, part of the fifth chapter of Durga Saptashatii

is used for Vasordhaaraa. In this case, one must also have read the fifth

chapter of the Devi Mahatmyam ( Durga Sapthashatii ).

 

If you have received Panchadashii then you can perform the homam. Otherwise,

there are other easier things that can be done, that will help you to prepare

for performing the homam. (Like Shrii chakra nyaasam etc).

Just one correction. My previous e-mail could be read to imply that

panchadashii is not required to do shrii chakra nyaasam. This is not the case.

One MUST have panchadashii to do Shrii Chakra Nyaasam. What I meant to say is

that if one does not have much experience performing Shrii Chakra Homam, then

the Shrii Chakra Nyaasam can help to prepare for performing the Homam. Hope this

clarifies.
