Guest guest
Respected members, Mother/AMMA is an embodiment of love and purity. We all are HER children. In this age where science rules, all of us have the tendency to be satisfied when there is a proof /reasoning for everything that happens. The same is also seen in our spiritual progress. We look to sashtras, smritis, suktas etc spiritual material for proofs. But ultimately, when it comes to SHE and us, there exists only one bond ..and that is total, pure LOVE. A mother will immediately respond to her child (be it any age) when the child calls out 'Amma' with love. Now,if u stop and think...the same mother will also involuntarily respond when any child (not necc hers) calls out 'Amma' with love. That is how SHE is.... In order for us to bring our thoughts to focus and obtain 'ekagrata', all these external actions like puja, chanting etc are done. We are like children standing in the middle of an ocean and not knowing in which direction to swim to reach the shore (where SHE is). That is where SHE guides us. This guidance is in the form of a guru. SHE can herself BE the guru or ASSUME a form of the guru. What matters here is....as her child, when we are in the middle of the ocean of samsara, we get this thought to seek liberation from it. The fact that such a thought had made a sparsha on our minds is itself her boon!! Depending on our depth of desire to seek liberation SHE will herself show the path of guidance. You may be sitting close to a beautiful spring with pure water in it. But still...unless u feel thirsty, you will not want to reach out and drink a drop of water from it. Similarly, although there is open chanting of stotrams, slokams occuring everywhere these days, only when HER anugraham is there, the individual will feel the urge to recite/chant to seek HER. If we add surrender and fill this urge with love, automatically SHE will guide us. This can happen thru a personification in the form of a guru OR thru HER sparsha in the form of thoughts. What is needed is the perseverance to hold on to this urge (spandana within us). Dear bhakta bandhus....just hold on to the urge to seek liberation and surrender to HER. The rest is definitely taken care of by HER. Bala sharanam, Lalitha.
