Guest guest
Dear devotees of Ambaal, While dealing with worship of Sri Lalitha, Brahmanda Purana addresses the Srividya as “Sahasraakshara Vidya”. It is this “Sahasraakshara Vidya” that has been encoded in Asyavaamasya Suktam. Now the “asyavaamasya sukta” deals mainly with the 4 themes 1) Agni 2) Surya 3) Kratu or Yajna 4) Vak. Vak is addressed as Absolute Principle, and by means of Kratu or Yajna, the Surya was born which is the source of existence of Cosmos and regulator of Time in the form of Year (samvatsara). Agni, the “first born” and the “purohita” (pl. refer prathamaya ritasya and agnimile purohitam) propagated the Kratu Svarupa in the world. The mantra drashta of this hymn is Rishi Dirghatmas. The Rishi in his vision sees the different manifestations of divinities of the same underlying principle as Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, Su-parna, Surya and exclaims in ecstasy as : “Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanthi” ie., the Common Principle is Same but is perceived differently by Vipras (Jnanis). The Vak being the Common Underlying Principle is addressed as Gaurih. The creation starts from Vak through vast expanse of Waters (salilani) which is the symbolic representation of Infinite. This Vak is Mother of All. And hence entire Devatas reside in it (yasmin deva adhi vishve nisheduh). This Vak taking the form of Pranava becomes 1 (ekapadi), 2(dwipadi), 4 (chatushpadi), 8 (ashtapadi), 9 (navapadi), 1000 (sahasraakshara. “Parame Vyoman” is the Daharaksasa / Chidakasa. The Vak sporting in Chidakasa become the mystic syllables in the form of 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 1000. The esoteric sense of these numbers is to be learnt from one’s gurunatha. These numbers are the number of syllables in the form of Mantras. The number 1000 denotes the “SAHASRAAKSHARA VIDYA” which is called “SRIVIDYA”. Now, any given number of Mantras, they fall in the maximum scale of 1 to 1000. So, 1 is the least number and 1000 is the largest number which is the maximum limit. This scale of 1 to 1000 represents the maximum size of any mantra and its origin which is Parame Vyoman otherwise called VAK. Entire matrikas fall in this category of 1 to 1000 limit. This Vak in the form of “Gaurih” spreads itself across in 4 stages “chatvaari vak”. These 4 stages of Vak are Para, Pashyanti, Madhyama, Vaikhari stages. Now, Srividya is nothing but Upasana of Vak as I keep mentioning in my mails. Entire Sriyantra is manifestation of Vak in the form of Sabda Brahma. Srichakra Upasana is Sabda Brahma Upasana. The Parayana of Asyavamasya with proper understanding of the heart of Rishi Dirghatmas is the Upasana of Vak. And hence, Asyavamasya Suktam is related to Srividya. Even Nasadiya Suktam is also related to the Srividya. It is also called “Hymn of Creation”. The concept of Nada, Bindu and Kala has been evolved out of this Nasadiya Suktam. And hence, SHODASHOPACHARA PUJA TO SRIYANTRA CAN BE DONE WITH SRISUKTAM AND AT THE TIME OF ABHISHEKHA UPACHARA, THESE ASYAVAAMASYA AND NASADIYA SUKTAMS CAN BE CHANTED AS A FORM OF LAGHU SRICHAKRA ARCHANA PADDHATI. This is the marvelous sukta and Upasakas regard this Sukta as quintessence of the Srividya Tattva. With regards, Sriram Unlimited freedom, unlimited storage.
