Guest guest
Dear members, Generally, the Kavacha implies the Armour effectuating the divine protection. The Kavacha is used to guard and protect the body, ward off illness from it and cure from illness when it has besieged the body. It ensures the proper distribution and operation of forces in the very cells of the body, the Pindanda, in consonance and harmony with the operation of the Divine Law in the Cosmos, Brahmanda and sets right all discord. The Prayer is made to Pradhana Devata Chandi and her Parivara Devatas. Every limb and part of the body is energized with Kavacha Parayana. Argala means a Bolt and knowledge of the existence is necessary to open the closed door. A reading of Argala Stotra is mandatory for opening up the secrets sealed in Sapthasathi. The most important Mantra of Argala is “Rupam Dehi Jayam Dehi Yasho Dehi Dwisho Jahiâ€. There is also a Sapthasathi Parayana Vidhi in which this Mantra is done as a samputikarana with entire Sapthasathi which is called “RUPA CHANDI VIDHANAâ€. Here, RUPAM implies the SWARUPA, the TRUE FORM OF ONESELF which is NON-DIFFERENT FROM CHANDI. Kilaka is the King-Pin in the Machine or the Pivot on which the whole thing hinges. There is condition acting like a Pivot, the fulfillment of which furnishes the key to open the hidden secrets. If the recital of Sapthasathi has to be effective, a condition has to be fulfilled and that is mentioned in the Kilaka. This is because the HIDDEN SECRETS MAY NOT FALL IN THE UNDESERVING HANDS. Now, these KAVACHA, ARGALA and KILAKA have to be chanted all three at a time. The secret being this: Generally, the KAVACHA or Armour what the warriors wear is not a complete entity by itself. It is an integration of all the parts that is used for protection of the particular limb of the body viz., there is a separate piece of Kavacha like face mask, shoulders, breast, waist, back etc. All these bits and pieces are integrated together with a BOLT (ARGALA) that rests on KILAKA (PIVOT). So, the entire KAVACHA rests on this PIVOT and BOLT. So, when UTKILANA is PERFORMED with the MANTRA, the NAIL or PIVOT is removed and the BOLT or ARGALA drops off. When the BOLT AND PIVOT is opened, at one shot the entire KAVACHA or ARMOUR is loosened and it drops off from the Body. This KAVACHA is the KANCHUKA of JIVA which is a limitation for the JIVA. So, with the UTKILANA mantra and with the mantra “RUPAM DEHI ……†of ARGALA, the NUT AND BOLT are removed. As soon as ARGALA AND KILAKA are removed, the KAVACHA OF JIVATVA drops off and he is in his SWA-SWARUPA STHITHI. This is the secret why all the three ie., Kavacha, Argala and Kilaka are chanted together. Individual parayana from either of the three is not prescribed. But only with Purva-Anga of Sapthasathi.
