Guest guest
Dear members, The famous sloka of Kalidasa “Vaagarthavivasampruktau………Jagatah pitarau vande parvathiparameswarau†implies that the Vak or Speech or Sabda is Devi and the Sabda Jnana or Congnosis behind that Speech is Siva. This Vak or Speech constitutes of 50 Matrikas (Vowels and Consonants). So, this Sati is this Vak that is in the form of 50 Matrikas. Vak originates from Agni as per the Aaitreya Brahmana “Agnir Vak bhutva mukham pravishatâ€. So, Daksh-kanya or Dakshayani is Vak and Daksha is Agni. The etymological origin of Daksh is as follows: Dah-Sa > Dak-Sa > Dak-Sha > Daksha The Dahana Tattva (the principle of burning) is Daksha which is Agni. So, Daksha performing the Sacrifice without inviting the Shiva implies that without the Cognosis behind the Vak or Speech or Sabda Jnana, the Matrikas are Dead and Useless. The Kratu or Yagna without the Sabdaartha Jnana is useless and would not yield result. Hence, Vishnu which is the Praana Tattva (Life Force) came into picture. As per the sastra, “aksharaanaam akarosmi†ie., among the letters Vishnu is the first letter “Aâ€. So, Vishnu cutting asunder the body of Sati implies that Vishnu is infusing the life into the Matrikas and thus the Matrikas infused with life gets expanded from A to Ksha. So, entire Matrika vyavastha bloomed when Vishnu – the Praana (Life force) in the form of letter ‘A’ came into existence. So, Siva is Sabda Jnana, Sati is Matrika in the form of Vak, Daksha is Agni and Vishnu is Prana or Life Force. The great grammarian Katyayana Vararuchi in his Siva Mahimnah Stavah gives this secret in the sloka “Kratau supte……..â€. Shri Appayya Dikshitar also hints this in his work “Ratna Traya Parikshaâ€. The 3 gems or ratnas are Hari, Hara, Gauri. So, any upasana or Kratu or Yagna without the proper understanding of the Mantra Sastra yields NO FRUITS. Daksha is also interpreted as the Jiva without the proper understanding of Mantra Sastra. Siva is Sabda or Mantra Jnana and the Cognosis behind the Mantra. So, as the Daksha Yagna is destroyed without Siva and yields no result, similarly the Upasana without understanding its purport and Mantra Jnana does not yield any result.
