Guest guest
Dear members, Generally “Preta†means a lifeless being or corpse. The vyutpatti is “Pra (Karshana) Itah (Gatah) Yasmath Jivah – sah - taadrushah – Dehah ie., the Deha from which the Jiva is completely freed or liberated. That Deha or Body is called Preta. Now, the Pancha-Brahmas ie., Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Ishwara and Sadasiva are called Pancha – Pretas (5 Corpses) without Sakti. But instead of visualizing the Pancha Brahmas from the angle of Corpses, one should visualize them as “one who perform their actions and duties alongwith their respective Saktis and are unusually unitedâ€. Because when “sakti†is not with them, their very existence as “Pancha Brahmas†cannot be imagined and it is Abhava. During this state, their “Individual Existence†in the form of 5 murtis does not arise so there is no concept of “Corpse†which is a negative terminology. One should not imagine these 5 forms as “Sakti – Abhavaâ€. One should consider these 5 murtis as unusually united and in communion with Sakti in performing their respective actions. So, the samanvaya and the vyutpatti is : “PRA (KARSHENA) ITAH – SHAKTYA – YUKTAH ITI PRETA†VIZ., ONE WHO IS UNUSUALLY UNITED AND IS IN COMMUNION WITH SAKTI†IS PRETA. So, these 5 forms in the form of Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Iswara and Sadasiva are in communion with their respective powers and consorts and performing their functions of Srishti, Sthiti, Laya, Tirodhana and Anugraha. Shakti is unusually united with them and hence they are Pancha-Pretas. With regards, Sriram Check out the all-new face of India.
