Guest guest
I also finished it -- right after Thanksgiving (giving me yet another thing to be thankful for!). I also happen to know that both Jayadeva and Patty have also finished. Looking forward to a new sankalpa in 2008. Guest guest
Is Sankalpa necessary for Nishkamya Pryogam ? Ganapathy --- Vijaya " Jai Bhavani "
Guest guest
Dear ganapathi, Namaste. After long time we are meeting in the forum. Samkalpam is necessary for any (kaamya / nishkaamya) anushtana but a little change. " mama upaatha samastha duritha kshayadwara shri parameswara uddhisya (any devata for that matter) parameshwara prityartham (devata name) chittasuddhi dvara bhakti jnana vairagya siddhyartham .......parayanam / japam karishye " would be the sankalpa for uttama adhikaris. with regards, sriram , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > Is Sankalpa necessary for Nishkamya Pryogam ? > > Ganapathy --- Vijaya " Jai Bhavani " >
Guest guest
Dear sriram ji, Is it not enough to say parameshwara preetyartham and leave rest to Her to give us what we deserve and not desire ? Guest guest
Dear ganapathi, Yes. It is enough. Infact, it the more mature way of sankalpa. As the sattva guna increases, the sankalpa becomes more refined. So, when the upasaka reaches the stage of viveka and vairagya, no sankalpa is required as his stage is the state of para bhakti. What else he wants other than the nourishing glance and embrace of Mother? This reminds me of the famous verse of saundaryalahari where the Acharya Sankara describes that he is standing in the corner and seeking gracious glance of Mother. with regards, sriram , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > Dear sriram ji, > > Is it not enough to say parameshwara preetyartham and leave rest to Her to give us what we deserve and not desire ? > > > > > Ganapathy --- Vijaya > " Jai Bhavani " > > --- On Wed, 7/30/08, sriram <sriram_sapthasathi wrote: > > sriram <sriram_sapthasathi > Re: Sankalpa > > Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 2:39 AM Dear ganapathi, > > Namaste.
