Dear Sri Sriram,

 

Can we recite Durga Sukta, Sri Sukta, Purusha Sukta etc.in the form of

japa during eclipse, and if yes, the correct sankalpa thereof.

Hello Sir,

                  Nothing is preferred other than Japa. If you

are initiated or if have mantra Then do the JAPAM only. Even Gayathri will be

very much better other than Regular Chantings. Chantings of Devi will only give

the Concentration. As said by Mr. Sri Ram, Japam can only awaken the sleeping

kundalini from the Muladhra, that may be the main objective of Grahana kala

Japam If I am correct in my views.

Dear narayan,

 

No rg vedic suktas no pujas.

 

Only japas of mantras in which you have been initiated.

 

Tantric mantras like mantras for snake bite, scorpion sting, garuda

mantra etc. are more effective during this period. If not, then

Gayatri Mantra till the eclipse ends. After that, have a head bath.

The next day, all the devatharchana idols have to be washed, the

upavitha has to be changed and new upavitha has to be donned.

 

To Shri Gopal:

 

Sutaka has to be observed only by those who are effected by eclipse.

Rest need not bother.
