Guest guest
shri gurubhyo namaH shri mahAgaNapataye namaH Folks: Does anyone have a copy of " chanDI dhvaja stotram " ? If yes, I need a copy rather urgently. I did a quick internet search, but could not find any reference to it. (If Sanskrit is not available, then I could also potentially have it transscribed frome Telegu or Kannada (or Tamil with modern " 1234 " notation) into Sanskrit. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Dear Kumar, Namaste. Apart from Shad-angas in Sapthasathi, there are also dwadasa-angas that include Chandi Dala, Chandi Dhwaja as Purva Anga and Kavacha Traya (Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswathi), Suktha Traya (Traya (Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswathi) as Uttara Angas of Chandi Sapthasathi. And this depends upon the sampradaya-bheda. Now, one should be initiated in Chandi Navakshari alongwith Shad- angas as Purva and Uttara Angas from a Satguru who hails from good parampara. Even if one is not initiated in Dwadasa Angas, it is mandatory that one should have the Navakshari and Shad-Angas. Before undertaking the Parayana of Dhwaja, Dala etc. it is better to do the Navakshari Purascharana (min. 9 lakhs) and 60 parayanas of Sapthasathi alongwith Shad-angas. I have the entire a copy of Dhwaja, Dala, Kavacha Traya and Suktha Traya but it is in Telugu. I can send the scanned documents but first of all I would like to confirm certain things from your side. Are you initiated in Navakshari Mulamantra alongwith Shad-Angas. If yes, who is your gurunatha and to what parampara do you belong? Alongwith Navakshari, one must be initiated in Panchakshari, Mahaganapathi, Dakshinamurthy and Bala. Some of the people are directly being initiated in Chandi Navakshari without getting initiated in Bala which is raising the eyebrows of some of the upasakas who hail from Sat-sampradaya. Please don't think otherwise, dear kumar. I am just asking this to confirm and I don't have any grudge against you. Thanking you, With best regards, Sriram , " Kumar Ramachandran " <kramach wrote: > > shri gurubhyo namaH > shri mahAgaNapataye namaH > > Folks: > > Does anyone have a copy of " chanDI dhvaja stotram " ? Guest guest
shri gurubhyo namaH shri mahagaNapataye namaH dear Shriram: Namaskaram. My guru paramparA is direct guru shishya lineage from Shri Shri Shri BhAskaramakhin. Hope you will understand if I dont put my Guruji's name on this web site. Please know that I have all of the qualifications you mentioned, and we refer to our Guruji with the words " Shri vidya guru, Shri vidyaa peethaadhipathi " and so on. I have also helped to publish(with my parents), the following books, for the use of our Ashram. Shri MahAgaNapathi Homa PrakaraNam. Shri Vidya navAvaraNa Homa PrakaraNam. Shri Vidya nityAnushThAnam ( which contains all of the items that our Guruji has taught us - and contains all that our shishya communit needs in one source - everything from Shri Chakra Nyasam, mahaayaagakramam, Upanishads ( Ganapathy, Devi, Bhaavanaa, Thripura ), Durga sapthashathi, with all - siddha kunjika, keelaka, argala, kavacha stotras, tantrokta raatri sooktam, shatparayanas (naatha, ghatika, tattva, nityaa, naama and mantra), all of the mantras, nyaasas and dhyaana shlokas needed by the shishyas, including, mahaaganapathy, baala, panchadaskshari, shodashi, shakti panchaakshari, paraa saraswathi, navaakshari and saptashloki durga, to name some of the items. It follows therefore that I am initiated into all of the above. I also help my mother to publish the ashTaanga for USA East Coast, based on the conventional Sowryamaana calendar published by Shri Vallabha Ganapathi temple of New York. My grand father (fathers father) was a shishya of Shri Shri Shri Chandrashekhara Saraswati. I still rememer His (periyavaal's) benign Self whenever we used to visit him while I was a young lad. Such a divine presence ( periyavaal, I mean). Our kula devathaa is Bhagavati Amman of Pallasena, in Kerala. The Devi at our Guruji's Ashram is Shri MahAshodashi. I dont normally talk about these in open public. I am only mentioning it here to clear any doubts in anyones mind about my credentials. With best regards, KR. Guest guest
Dear kumar, Namaste. I am thrilled to learn your guruparampara. My prostrations to your parampara and as well as your gurunatha. I am also equally thrilled to learn that Mahaperiyaval is the gurunatha of your grandpa. What more we want when the ParAmba Devi KamAkshi in the form of Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi is behind us. My gurunatha is the direct disciple of Mahaperiyavaal. One should not take the name of gurunatha openly and hence i refrain from using his name. He has been blessed with golden meru sriyantra , gayatri yantra, mahaganapati yantra from Mahaperiyavaal. Guest guest
shri gurubhyo namaH shri mahAgaNapataye namaH Dear shriram: Namaskaram. My prostrations to your Guruji. He is a realized soul indeed. I wish I had one drop of knowledge from his ocean. I am somehow moved to tell this incident to you. I cannot explain why. Perhaps Ambal will explain to me in future. One Friday evening, I was doing puja, and somehow I felt the desire to see mahaa periyavaals face. After the puja, I came to read the Ambal site postings. Someone wanted information on AshTaangam, so I went and asked my parents for further information. They handed me a very old copy of Guhanandamandaliis Shri Vidya books, and my father said that I would find the information inside. I went to the puja, and opened one of the books slowly, and a photograph fell out of the pages. It was a glorious color picture of mahaa periyavaals face, with his right hand held out in aasheervaadam position. I immediately prostrated to Ambal. What more proof do we need that She is Sadyaprasaadinii. How can you explain these wondrous acts of the Mahaans. Additionally, here is a song that occurred to me when I had a dream of my Gurunaatha coming and sitting next to me, saying " Shivoham, Shivoham " , wearing his orange robes and carrying his dandam and kamandalam. It expresses my deepest love and respect for Him. The final raaga has yet to come to me, although Kaanada seemed to have been the raagam, with ruupaka taalam. bho swaamin te namo namo.astute gurunaatha . daNDa kamaNDala naara~Nga varNaambara .. bho swaamin suswaagataM mama hR^idaye gIta taaNDava kara . umaa-sameta-praNava-naada-parama-sukha-varada .. bho swaamin swaagataM maheshwara ananta-naaraayaNa . brahma-mantra-GYaanada haMsacharmavaasI .. suutra-mantra-yantra-tantra-paadukaa-varaprada . shivo.aham shivo.ahamityaadyaajapa sannyaasI .. bho swaamin Of course, these verses to not rise to the level of paandithyam your Gurunaathas, since shlokas and stotras have more strict chhandas rules. Regarding your question about the Telugu script. I can either enlist the help of a close friend to transscribe it, or if you so desire, I can even do Telugu aksharaabhyaasam for myself before transscribing it. In this regard, I may add that my guruji actually taught himself Telugu so he can transscribe some texts to Sanskrit for our benefit. Of course, it goes without saying that I will take adequate precaution, as you have rightly done, to ensure that it is not transmitted to anyone else without proper authentication. Thanks for your help in this matter. With regards, KR. shri mAtre namaH - sriram Friday, August 29, 2008 7:09 AM Re: Chandi Dhwaja Stotram. Dear kumar, Namaste. The story goes that a female guru from oDDiyAna pITha initiated maheshvarAnandanAtha in his dream into the vidyA of the nityAShoDaShikArNava. It was in this inspiration he wrote his own commentary on the text citing shivAnandanAtha. Are these commentaries by your Guruji in Sanskrit and have they been published? cheers Rajita

Guest guest
Respect Rajitha, Namaste. My gurunatha wrote commentary on Shivanandanatha's Rujuvimarshini. Entire works of Sivanandanatha viz., Subhagodaya, Subhagodaya Vasana (2 versions), the Kalpoktha NavAvarana Archana Paddhatih (Bahiryaga) as well as Antaryaga, Gurumandala Archana, Srividya Rashmimala Parayana Paddhatih. This also includes the Khadgamala Vivarana and the details of guruparampara of Divougha, Siddhougha and Manavougha Gurumandala. We have certain reservations against Khadgamala and its origin and i don't want to enter into the controvery again. All these books are published only in Telugu but the manuscripts which my gurunatha got was in Sanskrit that were given by Mahaperiyaval. I have the telugu books but unfortunately i am not able to trace out those manuscripts after passing away of my gurunatha on Dec 25th 2008. He asked me take some of the manuscripts from his almirah and also hinted me on Dec 20th that he is going to shed off his body on 25th. He marked this date on his calender and showed me. But i was not believing this and simply ignored his gesture. On 21st, he called his family purohita and asked him to get some of the darbha grass and made him to put them in the southern corner. From 21st to 25th morning, my gurunatha was only chanting only Satarudriya, Bhagavatgita, Aghamarshana suktha. On 25th evening, at 6:30 PM, my gurunatha prostrated before the Sriyantra and portrait of Mahaperiyaval. Called his family members and myself. Asked us to chant Lalitha Sahasranama. He himself performed the sankalpa (what sankalpa he made we donot know) and made a gesture to start the parayana. When we were chanting and arrived at the name " AjnAchakrAntharAlastha Rudragranthi Vibhedini, SahasrarAmbhujArudha SudhAsaRabhivarshiNi " he asked us to stop. Got down from the bed and sat on the floor. Did kumbhaka and pranayama and performed shat-chakrabhedana. streaks of blood was seen at brahmarandhra. On 25th of Dec 2008, my gurunatha shed his mortal coil and left the abode of manidwipa leaving us behind in pall of gloom and darkness. Alas, had i listened to his words, i would have got wonderful manuals and manuscripts on Srividya in Sanskrit. He has 8 almirahs full of manuscripts and scramblings related to mantra sastra, tantra, srividya and veda. Slowly myself along with my guruputri smt. Srilakshmi are in the process of decoding some of the literature on srividya and tantra. Hope they would come to limelight soon. Excuse me for being emotional today because at the slightest mention of my gurunatha's name would make me choked with emotion and i become nostalgic by remembering those wonderful golden moments with my gurunatha. Guest guest
Dear Sriram, I am too keen to meet you personally and can you let me know your full address and contact details. Perhaps you would have known that we are organizing an international seminar in Hyderabad sometime in January end or February beginning under the patranage of Birla Mandir and the subject will be " Mantra-tantra-yantra-agama " relevant to one's life and progress and their interaction for integration. With your knowledge it is my sincere prayer that you should take part in this seminar and present your papers and also give them for inclusion in the souvenir. The detailed programme are being prepared and I shall send the same to you soon. This seminar will expose the greatness of our Srividhya cult to the world to give them an absolute safe, peaceful divine life and to have a rationalism throughout. May i seek your participation again. Please send me your biodata so that I can ask the organizers to include your name. Guest guest
Dear Sriram, The seminar is planned in association with Mrs. Haripriya Rangarajan(wife of financial adviser to PM) and Birla Institute in Hyderabad. We conducted a seminar some 4 years ago and next year we planto conduct a similar one for the benefit of upasakas and devotees. No one is an expert. You have a wonderful guru parampara and why not you expose the various texts you have, which i feel will be of great help and relevance to the community. We are currently discussing the curriculam and we are planning to mail out to as many participants as possible. We are not inviting any politician or madathipathis. We propose to invite only those who are really interested in expanding srividhya and bring out the salient facts of mantra-tantra-yantra-agama-vastu aspects without caste, creed, and other differences. I am a sort of an adviser with nothing in me. Please send me the contact details so that I can keep you posted. I am currently in USA and would be back in India soon. Regards, S.SHANGARANARAYANAN : sriram_sapthasathi: Mon, 1 Sep 2008 07:39:33 +0000 Re: Chandi Dhwaja Stotram. Dear sankaranarayan,Namaste. I thank you for inviting me to the seminar. I am keenly interested in participating as a spectator and i would definitely attend the seminar. However, regarding the presentation of papers, i am not a scholar neither i am learned in Srividya. My mails in the forum is just a blabber and i am just sharing my little knowledge with all the members. I would give my personal address in personal mail to you. Also please intimate me the tentative schedule and who are the scholars participating in the seminar. Thanking you once again and with warm regards,Sriram , S Sangaranarayanan <sangarsai wrote:>> Dear Sriram,> > I am too keen to meet you personally and can you let me know your full address and contact details.> > Perhaps you would have known that we are organizing an international seminar in Hyderabad sometime in January end or February beginning under the patranage of Birla Mandir and the subject will be " Mantra-tantra-yantra-agama " relevant to one's life and progress and their interaction for integration.> With your knowledge it is my sincere prayer that you should take part in this seminar and present your papers and also give them for inclusion in the souvenir. Guest guest
Dear diwakar, I will mail the telugu version to your id. If i remember, i have seen one old version of Sapthasathi of Kalyananda Bharati Parampara compiled by Shri Bollepalli Satyanarayana. They have printed all these 12 angas of sapthasathi viz., hridaya, dhwaja, dala, kavacha traya, suktatraya. This including srishti, sthiti, samhara krama parayana vidhi of sapthasathi. They have also included Kalaratri Paddhati Samputikarana with Chandi Navakoshta Yantra Avarana Archana. It includes Chandi Sahasranamavali also. There is also one more book in Telugu by Shri Josyula Janardana Sastry which has these hridaya, dhwaja, dala, kavacha and sukta traya. Rama Book Depot has published it. Shri Josyula Janardana Sastry is a telugu teacher in Tadipatri town of Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. A great scholar in Telugu & Sanskrit who is a close friend of my gurunatha. A great upasaka of Srividya who had mastered Dahara Vidya, Akshi Purusha Vidya and closely moved with Shri Saadhu Srinivasa Sastry (Son-in-law of Gollapinni Mallikarjuna Sastry of Gadwal Samsthan). If you remember, these two persons i often quote in my posts. Shri Srinivasa Sastry initiated my gurunatha in Hamsa, Dahara, Akshi Purusha vidya. The Gurupaduka Stavah, what we chant everyday belongs to this wonderful parampara of Gollapinni Mallikarjuna Sastry. Mallikarjuna Sastry, was initiated in Srividya by Nrisimha Bharati of Sringeri, initiated in Hamsa, Dahara, Akshi Purusha Vidya by Lord Virupaksha of Hampi. As regards the Kalyananda Bharati, i am fully aware of this parampara. Shri Bharati's purva asrama name is Ganti Balakameshwara Sarma, son-in-law of Tata Subbaraya Sastry, the ashthana vyakarana pundita and srividya upasaka at the court of King of Vijayanagaram. Later on, Shri Bharati studied mantra sastra from Rani Nrisimha Chainulu (Purva Asrama Name of Bodhananda Bharati). I am also fully aware of Potukutchi Ramamurthy and his son P.Subba Rao, Professor of English at Nagpur University. As regards Vishnubhatla Ghanapati Garu, he also the guru of our revered president of India Brahmasri Shankara Dayal Sharma. Very few people know about the scholarship of our revered president Shri Shankara Dayal Sharma. A great scholar and a great upasaka of Chandika Parameshwari. Vishnubhotla garu iniiated Shri SD Sharma into the upasana secrets of Chandi Navakshari, Sapthasathi and Yantra Archana. Without the parayana of 700 slokas alongwith Shadangas and Navakshari Japa alongwith his Nitya Sandhyavandana, Shri SD Sharma would not go to Parliament. Thanks a lot for mentioning your paramaguru because we could remember our great president, a gem which our India produced. Great National Leaders like Shri SD Sharma, Shri Rajendra Prasad were also great upasakas of Mother Divine. Just my 2 cents, Sriram , " Diwakarvlg " <diwakarvlg wrote: > > Dear Sriramji > > Sri matre namah > Namaste > > As I saw your message and since it was open.
