Given below is the Chandi Dhwajam. Extreme care should be taken in the

parayana of this stotram. The upasakas WHO ARE INITIATED IN CHANDI NAVARNA

Dear Sriram,

 

on the face of it this stava seems in similar vein to the Argalam and many other

stavas.

Why the secrecy and restrictions around this? am I missing something here?

Dear vishwam,

 

Dhwaja represents the vijaya patAka (flag staff of victory). I have

seen some of the people chanting argala / dhwaja independently. But

the sampradaya has some reservations.

 

Kavacha is the armour, argala is the bolt, kilaka is the king pin,

dhwaja is the victory staff, dala is for satru samhara. This is the

paraphernalia to be equipped by a soldier who goes to the

battlefield. With the grace of Navakshari and Sapthasathi, he comes

out victorious! (both external and internal victory).

 

So, there is some sense in the order of setting of purva anga as well

as uttaranga. Though there are certain differences among the

upasakas, it is better to follow one's sampradaya. As i said in my

old posts, these are all incorporations to make sapthasathi, a mAlA

mantra.

The sloka is absolutely error free. The salutation is understood here

because of the dirgha matra " saraswatI'. Remember, this sort of

prayoga in hidden in Navakshari ie., vicche. Vit+Cha+i. This " i " is

sambodhanAtmaka which implies " he chandi " .

 

Moreover sloka in dhwaja is conforming to the conditions of anushtup

chandas with 8 letters in each of the 4 padas.

 

So, you can forward the same to moderator for uploading.

What is the context behind " dhanam dehi " in these shlokas ?

I cannot accept that it is a direct request for money, which is the literal

translation for the word " dhanam " .

Dear kumar,

 

The nyasa for Chandi Dhwaja is Ramaikakshari Mahamantra. So, in

literal sense, Dhanam is Dhana Lakshmi ie., Prosperity and Rajyam is

Rajya Lakshmi ie. Kingdom. BUT THIS IS IN LITERAL SENSE.

 

One can add many vedantic colours to it.

this is regarding the Chandi Moola manthra and Chandi homam   yester day while

watching Samskruthi TV (In Telugu) Vedurupaka God Garu (Vijayadurga

Peetadhipathi) of Vedurupaka Krishna Jilla has said that  we should not

pronounce " Vichhe " (Moola manthra of Chandi or Chamunda) because by chanting it

we will get ill effects " Vichhe " means Deviation  ... it may deviate brothers,

family members and so..on so He has Changed that manthra to " +++Dugayai Namaha "

is is correct to change the moola manthra......

 

and he is also saying that All the homas and yagas should be compleeted before

12.00 noon after that if we perform we will get ill effects for both kartha and

also for the ruthiks....

only the yagas for dayas can be performed after 12.00 noon.

 

plz clarify me in this regard.

Dear madhu,

 

What exactly is the meaning of chandi navakshari, one can refer

damara yamala tantra and the exposition by Shri Bhaskara. One neednot

go for new meanings and " rahasyarthas " as far as navakshari is

concerned. Nowwhere, i have heard the meaning of vicche to be

deviaton. Morever, the vicche has namaskara inherently (vit+cha+i).

This " i " inherently indicates the sambodhana to chandi.

 

For me chandi is most blissful mother that i have ever seen and

navakshari gives me endless joy and bliss. That is all i know. I

have been chanting navakshari for the past 8 years. Nothing

accidental happened to me. I have been blessed with a wonderful cute

little son who is 6 years now and a wonderful, caring and loving wife

who is devoted to Guru Dattatreya and Mother Mangala Gauri. I am 37

years old blessed with happy and comfortable life with the grace of

mother chandi.

 

NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE MULA MANTRAS.

 

As far as the vedurupaka god is concerned, NO COMMENTS FROM MY SIDE

ON THIS GODMAN AND PARAMPARA. But this much i know that he is the

disciple of Shri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal of Sringeri.

Friends.

 

Removing vicche and substituting it with " durgayai namaH " means it is no longer

navAkSarI.

This is contrary to the sampradAyik performance of Chandi Homam.

I am not sure whether it is correct to do this substitution.

Our sampradAyam would not do so.

There seems to be no basis for this. Never heard anything like this

before. Such things can be ignored. As others said, it is no longer

navAkSharI if altered and no one can change it.

By the way, the vijaya-durgA piThaM is in East Godavari District of AP

and not Krishna.

Vicche does not mean deviation from family etc. It means it corrects one's mind

and action from material to spiritual. Mantra mahodathi and mantrarnavam etc.,

does not say anywhere that vicche diverts one from the family. I have been doing

chandi homam and chandi japam from 1960 with no ill effort whatsoever. On the

other hand everything in my life had improved.

I dont think anyone has the right to " ALTER(?) " the moola mantra.

Once altered then it is not a moola mantra. (who will be the rishi

then?)

 

And no one, except devi can understand or explain the 100% meaning

of any moola mantra.

 

Moreover Chandi navakshari is being used for the past 1000s of years

by our rishis and also by many grihastas who have prospered and how

come suddenly this doubt arises?

 

Chandika is a compassionate mother and will she harm her children?
