Guest guest
Dear members, This is the Gurupaduka Panchaka Stotra which we chant. The composer of this hymn is Shri Srinivasa Sastry, who is the son-in-law of Brahmasri Gollapinni Mallikarjuna Sastry of Gadwal Samsthan, Mahaboobnagar district, AP. Shri Srinivasa Satry initiated my gurunatha into the yogic secrets of Dahara Vidya, Hamsa Vidya, Akshi Purusha Vidya. Shri Srinivasa Sastry once went to the pilgrimage to Gandharvapuram (present day Ganagapur, Gulbarga District in Karnataka). This is a siddha kshetra of Jagatguru Dattatreya in the form of Nrisimha Saraswathi (the 2nd incarnation of Dattatreya). The 1st being Shripada Srivallabha of Pitapuram. Shri Sastry performed the Dattatreya Upasana at Ganagapuram for 7 days. On the last day during the Mahamangala Harati at the early hours in the morning (in Marati this harati is called Kakada Harati at 3:30 AM in the morning), the Datta Padukas vanished and in the place Shri Nrisimha Saraswathi gave a vision with Danda, Kamandala, Kashya vastra besmeared with holy ashes and wearing Rudraksha Mala. He was wearing Holy Golden Padukas. On seeing this Golden Padukas of the Dattatreya, this Paduka Panchaka gushed forth from the mouth of Shri Srinivasa Sastry. My gurunatha used to chant this everyday. I chant this hymn everyday alongwith our Guruparampara Stotra. GURU PADUKA PANCHAKA STOTRAM Namah shivAbhyAm atisundarAbhyAm anantakalyAna guNAspadAbhyAm ajAdibrindAraka vanditAbhyAm namO namah srIgurupAdukAbhyAm………………..1 Auspicious, extremely beatific, having myriad (a vast number) of desirable attributes, Sri Guru Padukas are venerated by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and the rest of the retinue. To those Padukas are my prostrations. sanAtanAbhyAm sumanOharAbhyAm namajjanEhAmarabhUruhAbhyAm trayIsati sUnr^ta vAngnutAbhyAm namO namah srIgurupAdukAbhyAm……………..2 Endearing to the devotees, the immortal Padukas are seated in their hearts like the tree of wish-fulfillment. They are truthfully theme – sung by the Vedic Mother. To those Padukas are my prostrations. guNadhikAbhyAm gurudarshakAbhyAm aghoutAmishra raviprabhAbhyAm pramOdalIla sumashObhitAbhyAm namO namah srIgurupAdukAbhyAm…………………..3 Beyond attributes, and like the bright sunshine, the Padukas consume our cumulative sins. Their floral beauty or celestial grandeur dazzles us in a divine play. To those Padukas are my prostrations. shitAbhra kAshmIraja pushpasAra sulEpitAbhyAm sumanOrchitAbhyAm munIndra hritsArasabhAnumadbhyAm namO namah srIgurupAdukAbhyAm………………………..4 Bright as the white camphor, and bathed in the floral essence of the Kashmir Kumkum Flower, the Padukas are revered by the pure-hearted. The padukas like to dwell in the lotus-hearts of the renowned sages, like the Sun, as they are pure and divine. To those Padukas are my prostrations. anAdyavidyA haraNEkshamAbhyAm aham mamOnmatta gajAmkushAbhyAm galatsudhA saurabha santatAbhyAm namO namah srIgurupAdukAbhyAm…………………………..5 Destroyer of the ignorance that knows no origin, subduer of the two elephants called I-ness and My-ness, the padukas fill the devotees’ hearts with lingering fragrance of the ambrosial shower. To those Padukas are my prostrations. pAdukA panchakastotram srInivAsa mukhOdgatam paTatAm ishTa phaladam bhUyAdIshmudE shivam This paduka panchaka stotra gushed forth from the mouth (Vak) of Srinivasa Sastry. Whoever chants this stotra, get the grace of Shiva and thereby get their wishes fulfilled. //**************// With regards, Sriram Jaya Guru Datta Sri Guru Datta Unlimited freedom, unlimited storage.
