Guest guest
Namasthe. Very well observed by Ms Rajita. It is just an ignorance (if i am permitted to say ) to say that ambaa's puja, japa and homa are empty rituals that involves series of actions on a predetermined order . The power of mantras are known to highly evolved upasakas and also from the confirmations of seers and saints. since the actions of pujas etc is backed by mantras an anology of a ritual -- could be understood as -- " ritual to a disconnected wire and puja to a live wire. when you touch a live wire knowingly or unknowingly you get a shock and there is a definite effect as phala when a japa or puja is done. When a japa, puja is done thousands of times even mechanically without any concentration if it is nishkamya " chitta Suddhi " takes place and that is why it is so important to continue these even if it is mechanical. Hence pl do not dismiss these pujas as something not worthwhile using once's rationality. On getting chitta suddhi one is lead to Self Realization. People are concerned only with rituals, rituals, rituals and go on and on, and there seems to be no interest in acquiring the divine energy. Sir, your views as stated above seem incorrect and inconsistent with the Vaidika Shastras. Performance of recommended Karmas is the recommended path for at least the Dvijas, especially for males. By Arthika and Tantrika recommendations even Shudras and others should be performing the required karmas. Even Upanishads that some consider texts for the Atimarga cannot be understood properly without understanding Mimamsa. Any form of Shaiva or Vaishnava tantra including the Kaula Marga of the former which talks about Advaita (not as in the branch of Vedanta) ultimately does not shed rituals. So if people are interested in performing rituals it is a good thing. If people want to skip Nitya rituals and do only Kamya ones then it is not supported by the Shastras. If people do not want to put in the effort to study the system before performing rituals that is wrong(like getting a degree without any work), but the interest to perform rituals is a good thing.
