Dear all,

I have uploaded a pdf (Durgayan.pdf) to the files section of Ambaal site. " Sri

Durgayan " was composed by (late) Sri Pandit Bhadradatta sharma of Kaasanganj,

India. This a rendering of DurgaSaptasathi in Hindi in the style of Ramcharith

manas. I understand that it is being used by many in the hindi-speaking hindu

community in India.

The book was completed around the days of sarada navarathri,1950 but never saw

the light until after a few years. Sri Panditji was a renowned scholar who had

worked on identifying historic details and lost works of Tulsidas. Although this

book was published by someone else, he got due recognition because of the poetic

and emotional ingenuity of the work.

May be a native hindi speaking devotee can translate the introduction and

foreword texts into English.

This PDF was provided by Himanshu and Anuja Bharathwaj of Connecticut, USA.

Anuja is a grandchild of Sri Panditji.

May Durga ambaa bless everyone.

thanks,

-gopal
