Guest guest
Namasthe. LS has to be chanted compulsorily with Purva bagham and uttara bagham except when an archana is performed with namavaly. But is practice many chant only the main LS ignoring the purva bagham and uttara bagham. Is this practice right ? Guest guest
Dear ganapathi mama, Namaste. One has to do the parayana of LS alongwith Purva and Uttara bhaga. Archana is different and parayana is different. Parayana involves achamana, pranayama samkalpa, pancha puja, anga and kara nyasa, rishi, devata, chando nyasa, mula vidya japa then LS parayana with purva and uttara pitikas. This is the sampradaya. For any mula mantra, there are kavacha, hridaya, panjara, ashtottara, sahasranama are the anga vidyas of the Mula Mantra Adhishtatra Devata. So, unless the mula mantra is initiated one is not supposed to go for these angas. However, as Shri Kumarji pointed out, at least in Srividya, one is bound to follow one's own guru parampara. The more one compares oneself with other parampara, the more confusion one land's in. Shastra charcha can be done to clarify the doubts, but as far as rituals are concerned, one has to just follow the footsteps of one's OWN GURUNATHA. Even if one does not know the rituals, one's own gurumandala would guide the sincere aspirant and take him to the right track. I have my own gurunatha at my back, you have your own gurunatha alongwith Smt. Rajam Mami as a guiding spirit. Similarly, Shri Kumarji has got his own wonderful gurunatha as his guiding force. But for all of us, the Mula Guru is Dakshinamurthy who is guiding our gurumandala. So, no confusions, no doubts, no dilemma. Shri GuruhparamakAraNabhUtA shaktih.... Guest guest
Dear vishwam, This dipa puja is a ritual generally observed by tamilians and keralites. We, being andhraites, our family do not observe this ritual. Neither my gurunatha and his family. My mom during the evening, after lighting the lamps, does Vishnu Sahasranama and saundaryalahari parayana. So, better approach a known person from the belt of tamilnadu/kerala. However, one of the pradhana tantris of sabarimala (lord ayyappa) stays next to our house. I asked him. He said that if it is there is the family parampara, there is no harm in parayana. Even the tantri's wife does the parayana during dipa puja. But donot take these words for granted. Get yourself duly consulted. with regards, sriram , vishwanthan Krishnamoorthy <krishvishy wrote: > > In the absence of upadesham into bAla or panchadashi, > > what is a good alternative? for nAmArchana while doing dIpa pUja? > > regards > Vishwam > > > > > ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 > > Friday, September 19, 2008 8:54:59 AM > Procedure for Chanting LS > > > Namasthe. > > LS has to be chanted compulsorily with Purva bagham and uttara bagham except when an archana is performed with namavaly. Guest guest
Rajam mami had attained kaivalya siddhi some 7-8 months back. Though i have not personally seen her, from her biographical sketch and through some of her personal disciples, i am of the opinion that she is the aspect of Lopamudra who incarnated in chennai to uplift her disciples from the miseries of samsara. It is an auspicious moment that we could remember her on this auspicious day of mahalaya amavasya as navaratri is going to start tomorrow. with best wishes for this dusshera, sriram , " srividyanand nath sricharyanand nath " <srividyanand wrote: > > Dear Sir, > Are you talking about most respected AMM RAJAMMAL from chennai present GURU > OF GUHANAND MANDLI. > If u have any address or telephone number /email etc. > I will be highly obliged.
