Guest guest
Dear rajeshwari, Happy navaratri. Likhita japa is a good spiritual exercise. Generally, for this likhita japa, rama nama and siva nama are prescribed. These are called " rama koti " and " siva koti " . As per your taste, you can select any one of these. If you are a vishnu bhakta, prefer rama koti. Generally, the writing of " srirama " is the procedure and for siva nama, " namah sivaya " (without pranava). There is a wonderful book called " Japa Yoga " by Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Divine Life Society, Rishikesh. Just buy that book and go through it. Your doubts would be clarified. regds, sriram , Rajeshwari Hemmadi <rhemmadi wrote: > > > Respected All, > > I have been part of theis lovely group & been reading all messages.. & getting informed about many a things. > > My query is about " likhita Japa " .. it's efficacy, such sankalp currently going on etc. As some encourages where as some discourage as " its for beginners when one really cant do meditation even for a while " > > With regards > > > > >
Guest guest
Respected Sriram Sir, Sometimes, after completion of the likitha japa notebook, we are not able to meet the person who originally gave us the blank book. What can be best done with that completed book? Some make it into individual square papers of 4 sq inches or so for folding viboothi or kumkuk and leave it at temples. Considering the amount of energy and japa that went into writing the paper, which becomes part of the infinite universe, how to make the best utilisation/resting place for the book? Guest guest
Preserve the rama koti book in your puja room. Whenever you visit Ayodhya, there is a Rama Nama Stupa and the members over there accept these books. Even in Hyderabad, we have built a beautiful rama nama stupa where we collect all the books and during rama navami, srirama puja is conducted with gotra and nama. The association here is very active. If it is siva nama, the srisailam devasthanam is accepting the books. About other temples, i donot know. regs, sriram , sadhujag sadhujag <sadhujag wrote: > > > > Respected Sriram Sir, > > Sometimes, after completion of the likitha japa notebook, we are not > able to meet the person who originally gave us the blank book.
