Guest guest Posted October 17, 2008 Report Share Posted October 17, 2008 Temple renovation An old Ambal temple near Arni temple is being renovated The Alaya Kainkarya Sath Sangam, which is located in Ashok Nagar, has undertaken the renovation of the Sri Visalakshi Ambal Sametha Sri Visvanathar temple in Kalpoondi village near Arni town, Tiruvannamalai district. The temple is rich in heritage and is about 500 years old. All the shrines in the temple are going to be renovated and the cost is estimated at Rs. 20 lakhs. The sangam has been offering its services to various temples in several villages across the State The trust has also been helping out in conducting festivals at various temples, besides helping renovate several ancient and neglected temples.
