Guest guest
Dear members, Apart from the 5 kosas in the pindanda viz., anna, prana, mano, vijnana, ananda maya kosas, Shri Bhaskara gives another interpretation to the name “panchakOshAntarasthitAâ€. Kosa means avarana. It is also the 5 sheaths in the sriyantra around the bindu. During the pancha-panchika puja, 5 devatas are worshipped individually as well as collectively around the bindu sthana. The 5 devatas are srividya, paramjyoti, para, nishkala shambhavi, ajapa matrika. The devatas paramjyoti, para, nishkala shambhavi, ajapa matrika are worshipped around Bindu whereas the Srividya is worshipped inside the Bindu Sthana during Srishti Krama Puja. These 5 devatas collectively are called Pancha Kosas. Lalitha Tripurasundari transcends these 5 devatas and hence the name “panchakOshAntarasthitA†With regards, sriram Connect with friends all over the world. Get India Messenger.
