Guest guest Posted November 28, 2008 Report Share Posted November 28, 2008 Dear members,  In this hour of crisis, I pray Mother Prachanda Chandi to grant victory to our national heroes: The Indian Army and The Commandoes who are fighting amidst burning Mumbai.  By chanting a couple of verses from Uma Sahasram of Vashishta Ganapti Muni, I humbly salute the Commandoes and pray for their victory in this ordeal.  Adaya maribhih krAntE rAShtrE tva mIshwar ! rakShikA sumasharamubhai rdhUtE chittE tva mIshwari ! rakShikA prabaladuritai rgrastE vaMshE tva mIshwari ! rakShikA (a)pyasrujati jalam mEghE moghE tva mIshwarI ! rakShkA  O Mother ! when enemies conquer the country, when kama, krodha, lobha etc. conquer the Mind, when Sins trouble the humanity, when clouds does not rain, during these times of crisis, you are the refuge!  Jayatu bharatakShoNIkhanDaM viShAdavivarjitam Jayatu gaNapa stasya kShEmaM vidhAtumanA munih Jayatu ramaNa stasyAchAryo maharShikulAchalo Jayatu cha tayo rmAtA pUtA mahEsha vilAsinI  Let India be free of sorrows and be victorious! Let the Vashishta Ganapati Muni, who is ever intent upon bringing all auspiciousness to India be Victorious!
