Guest guest
Perceptions and experiences may differ from person to person but there will be a subtle similarity in all cases. The mantra yogi will be blessed by the presiding deity either in dreams or in person, in the form of a Vipra or suvasini. If one sees one's Swa-Guru, Paramaguru or Parameshtiiguru in dream chanting the moola mantra, then it's a sure sign of mantra siddhi... , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > From : US Brahmins group > > > > Mahaswami of Kanchi H H Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati is called as " Paramacharya " in our Country and " Periyavaa " in Tamil.? In most cases only the Guru will be able to tell if a certain experience or a phenomenon is indicative of mantra siddhi. Sometimes it is in the form hearing sounds like drums, flute , anklets etc which are described in works. Sometimes unexpectedly a mantrin or a siddha puruSha in teh course of your travel might confirm this. As Srinath said, experiences will vary. Now, there is natural tendency to associate normal phenomenon as indicating mantra siddhi. One should not succuumb to this ease but maintain a rational outlook. As an example: You might hear some drum sound in the night and think you have perhaps obtained mantra siddhi. Do not fool yourself because your neighbour must be having a strange habit of practicing mridangam at night!! :-)) Nor should one foolishly dismiss all phenomenon as having some rational explanation. There must be a balance in this. Guest guest
shrI gurubhyo namaH shrI mahAgaNapataye namaH Friends. Just a side note. These sounds that one may hear, like ringing of the bell, sound of the damarU, flute, etc. are not the objective of the mantra siddhi. They are side effects. Dont get distracted by them, even though they are very pleasant to hear. " samprApte sannihite kAle nahi nahi rakShati dhukR^i~nkaraNe " Thanks and regards. shrI mAtre namaH - Satish Friday, January 09, 2009 1:05 AM Re: How do you reconize Mantra Siddhy ? , " Srinath Ram " <srinath_atreya wrote: > > Perceptions and experiences may differ from person to person but > there will be a subtle similarity in all cases.
