Sri Visalakshi ambal Sameda Sri Viswanatheeswarar temple is situated on

the banks of KAMANDALA NATHA RIVER in Kalpoondi Village about 6 km on

east of ARNi Town in Tiruvannamalai District, Tamilnadu. This Temple was

constructed about 500 years age with the presiding deity Sri

Viswanatheeswarr and Sri Visalakshi Ambal facing East and the Sri

Vinayagar, Sri valli Sri Devasena Sameda Sri Subramania swamy,

 

Sri Dhakshinamurthy, Sri Chandikeswarar, Sri Bhiravar, Sri Suriyan and

the Navagrahas with Rajagopuram. The rare feature and very unique of

this temple is the Main deity of Sri Viswanatheeswarar Lingam has been

brough from Varanashi (Kasi) and the Lord Dhakshinamurthy worshipped as

Guru Stalam.

 

 

 

Besides the daily poojas and abhisheham, Maha Sivarathiri, Ippasi

Annabhisheham, Karthigai Somavaram Sangahabhisheham and religious

functions are being conducted from time to time. Festivels like Vinayaka

Chathurthi, and Karthigai Deepam are celebrated in a grand manner.

including three tier Raja Gopuram and to have flooring for the temple

with estimated cost of renovations will be around RS.20 lakhs.
