Guest guest
no really, I thought we could have a more detailed discussion as: though considered a minor upanishad it has a lot of significance for shaktha upasakas. The group has covered LS and other major works quite well, You and other learned members can provide an overview and those parts that can be shared. I attended a chandi homam where the archaka used this upanishad for the upacharam to the agni after the homam and coincidentally you mentioned bhavanopanishad recently too... regards Vishwam ________________________________ sriram <sriram_sapthasathi Tuesday, February 3, 2009 4:57:26 AM Re: Bhavanopanishad Hi, oops!!! Guest guest
Dear vishwam, Bhavanopanishad, per se, details out the antaryaga worship or the internal worship of Sriyantra where the upasaka identifies his pindanda to be the sriyantra. The pindanda of the upasaka like sriyantra too has 9 avaranas (9 sukshma chakras, 9 pores etc..). Entire avarana devatas in sriyantra are contemplated in the pindanda of the upasaka which constitute 8 vak devatas, 5 pranas, 5 upa- pranas, sukshma nadi mandala, 7 dhatus. Also the esoteric sense o 16 upacharas to Sriyantra is contemplated internally. What exactly is the sriyantra worship is detailed out in the mantra " jnata hota, jnanam arghyam, jneyam havih. jnatr-jnana- jneyanam abheda bhavana srichakra pujanam " . This describes the triputi bhedana to be the objective of srividya where the jiva becomes siva. And that is what is given in last sentence " evam muhurta trayam......siva yogiti bhavati " . One who contemplates on the internal worship of sriyantra for 3 muhurtas, he become sivayogi. Shri Bhaskara gives out wonderful prayoga for this bhavanopanishad alongwith antar and bahir matrika nyasas. But this is NOT REVEALED in this public forum as the upasaka should have a minimum of Panchadasi Vidya. There is also a mahashoda nyasa paddhati with bhavanopanishad as given out by shri Ishwara Satyanarayana Sastrigal. regs, sriram , vishwanthan Krishnamoorthy <krishvishy wrote: > > > no really, I thought we could have a more detailed discussion as: though considered a minor upanishad it has a lot of significance for shaktha upasakas.
