Guest guest
Dear All, I read up a little bit on Sriram's posting about Warangal Bhadrakali temple - interestingly, The form of Kali ma here is said to represent TripuraSundari (which is a very rare form of Kali) Regards, Raghav
Guest guest
I don't know whether it is tripurasundar or not. But Mother is dasa (10) bhuji (10 hands) here. Moreover, she holds Munda Mala (human skull). Vamachara worship was prevalent here during the Kakatiya dynasty but just 90 years back, a great devi upasaka (still alive) pacified the mode of worship here by establishing sriyantra here. The early idol of Kali is something different. Her mouth was wide open. It was this 90-years old upasaka who inscribed " Amriteshwari Mahamantra Bija " on the tongue of wide-open mouth of Kali and shut the mouth with Sandal / Plaster of Paris / Kumkuma etc. (no idea). with regards, sriram , Raghavendra <mkraghavendra wrote: > > Dear All, > > I read up a little bit on Sriram's posting about Warangal Bhadrakali > temple - interestingly, The form of Kali ma here is said to represent > TripuraSundari (which is a very rare form of Kali) > > Regards, > Raghav >
