Guest guest
Dear devotees, I came to know abt an old temple where the presiding deity is Shri BalaTripuraSundari at the Manikarnika ghaat in Varanasi. This temple construction began in 1785 under the rule of Amethi dynasty king Raja Pratapi and was completed by 1857 (after 72 years) under the rule of Raja Lal Madhav Singh. I am giving these details fm the information flyer that came along with a photograph of the deity (which I am attaching to the files section of the group). It says in the info flier that, the temple has a " Pancayatan Swarup " wherein there can be found 4 shivalayas on the 4 corners and one shivalaya in the middle part of the temple. The entrance to the temple is done in rajasthani style. The deity is known as 'ShriVidya Bala Tripura Sundari'. The temple is located at the Manikarnika Ghat (Gadwasi Tola) in Varanasi. May SHE bless us to have HER darshan. Dear devotees, You can find the photo of ambaal in 'Files/Pictures' section of the group site. Bala sharanam, Lalitha.
