Guest guest
Quote from author of the mail. But there is nothing wrong in consulting the acharya of sringeri as this pitha holds the privilege of holding the mula amnaya pitha among the 4 mutts in India and also any dharma sandehas. It has every authority to resolve the issues related to mantra, tantra, agama, veda and resolve the disputes related to sastra. This privilege is only given to the Jagatgurus of Sringeri Dakshinamnaya Pitha not even Kumbakonam Mutt alias Kanchi. regs, sriram Namasthe. Moolamnaya Pitha is only the " Kaanchi Kamakoti Mutt " and not the Dakshinamnaya Pitha of Sringeri as written in the above mail. The observation that " the privelege is given to only Dakshinamnaya pitha is a careless one and a loose observation without any authority. It seems to me that Calling the moolamnaya mutt with aliases could be with some hidden intention -- with due respect to the author. While there is no disputes or differences between acharyals themselves,of respective Mutts,it is such careless or innocent observation by some of the followers of mutts, which creates rivalry, mis-understanding and hatred among the followers. To quote an example of how one of the close aides of Sringeri mutt behaved at Kaanchi, decades back, when HH Chandrasekhara Bharathy Swamygal wanted to meet Mahaperiyavaal at that time and to what extremes that close aide went to prevent him from meeting, is an open history. The Kaanchi Kamakoti peetam has an illustorious acharyaals starting from Adi Sankara's direct disciple HH Sureshwaracharyaal ( purvasram --Mandala Misra ),followed by HH Satya Bhoda (BC 364 - BC 268), HH Gynananda (BC 268 -BC 205) to the present HH Jayendra Swamygal and HH Vijyaendra Swamygal being the 70th one in lineage. The proof of HH Sureshwaracharyal having attained siddhy at Kaanchi is also available. I adore infinitely both His Holinesses at Kaanchi and Sringeri -- consider them as saakshath Kaamakshy and Sharada devi respectively. I regularly visit both the mutts to get their blessings but closely connected with Sri Mutt and its activities as it is our family Mutt by tradition. Therefore there is no ill will to anybody while writing this mail. This is just to request to be careful while posting such mail. Guest guest
Dear sir, I am sorry if i have hurt your feelings but i was *very conscious* while making comments. I have equal respect for Kanchi Mahaswamigal as Swamigal happens to be my *paramaguru* in Srividya. As regards the status of *amnaya pitha*, there is no *relevant evidence* about the acharya parampara of Kanchi. Now, i cannot reveal certain *stories* and *myths* related to *Kumbakonam Mutt* which was declared an independent pitha in late 1912 which was under the control of Sringeri. Shri Nilakantha Dikshitar in his Anandasagar Stavah also mentions this amnaya status in his 129th sloka. The *Hamsa* Mudra is quite unique for 4 amnaya mutts which is not to be found in the Kumbakonam Mutt. Once again my apologies... sriram , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > > Quote from author of the mail. > > But there is nothing wrong in consulting the acharya of sringeri as this pitha holds the privilege of holding the mula amnaya pitha among the 4 mutts in India and also any dharma sandehas.
