Respected madam,

Are you looking for Devi Sapthasloki, if i am not sure?

Devi Sapthasloki is supposed to be the essence of Chandi Sapthasati which can be

recited by all without any apprehensions.

You can also chant the pauranika / tantrika devi sukta which is given in 5th

chapter of Chandi. Also the Narayani Stuti which is in 11th chapter even if one

is not initiated in navakshari / entire sapthasathi.

Infact Pauranika Devi Sukta forms the cream of Chandi Sapthasathi which is a

very *powerful* & *potent* slokas.

Namaste. (This is no ashtaka, but) I just found this set of 18 shlokas of Durga

Stuti that is supposed to contain the essence of Devi Mahatmyam.
