Guest guest
Both the teacher and the student are required to test each other before an initiation happens. So say some tantra-s. They say that spiritual progress is a painfully slow process, and that one requires lots of patience before he/she could percieve any change/result. Best of luck. , " V.Rajnikanth " <yogior wrote: > > Respected Group members, > Currently now Iam in Chennai for a short stay. > I hereby request the group members to let me know any Female Tara Upasakas > to get the intiation. > I would very much appreciate the help. > Thanks in advance . > > Lokah samastha sukhinoh Bhavanthu. > > -- > With best regards, > V.Rajnikanth, > yogior, > yogi_or, > yogi_or > Mobile :+44 07595021150(London) > > >
Guest guest
Dear Rajnikanth, I do not know how the initiation is restricted to a female guru. There is no such thing. In the Gurupaduka we worship the guru and guru pathni and there is no difference between them. When the sishya is granted sarva mantra adhikhara bhaveth, or peetadhikaram etc., he is quite competent to initiate in any one in any mantra whether from the scriptures or coined by him. But the guru should be an adept capable of transmitting the divine energy of the particular devata to the disciple when initiated. These restrictions are man made and I do not see any relevance in the requirement of a female guru for tara initiation. I remember to have told you so when you met me last. Blessings. Guest guest
Namaste There is no no restriction on recieving tArA mantra from a male teacher. But according to a few tantra-s some tArA mantra-s are best received from a female teacher. It is said that one attains success quickly that way. So when suresha mitra decided to initiate gaNapati muni into a certain tArA mantra, he is known to have done so by having a female between himself and the muni. But I doubt if havin a female medium needs to be strictly followed. Not sure how serious the particular tantra-s prescribing this rule are on this issue.
