Guest guest
Sri Bhairavaya namah Dear Sadhaka Kasi,Varanasi this remains me of the Repeated Tragedies that happened to the most pious Place on Earth. Lets not go into those details. The Kshetra palaka deity KALA Bhairava is unique of kasi Kshetra. there are 8 bhairavas in 8 directions of kasi and they protect Kasi from all the directions. As we all know that one needs the permission of the Great Kala Bhairava to enter Kasi Kshetra that including even Death. these are few places of Bhariavas mentioned by Sri Sidheswarananada Swamy 1 Asitanga Bhairava - Near Mrutyunjaya temple, dara nagar , beside Dhanvantari kupam 2 Ruru Bhairava - Near Hanuman Ghat 3 Chanda Bhairava - Near Durga mandir 4 Krodha Bhairava - Near kamakshi Mandir 5 unmatha Bhairava - Inside Vatuka Bhairava Mandir 6 kapal Bhairava - laat Bhairava in raj Ghat 7 Bhishana Bhairava - Bhoota Bhairava near Kali mandir 8 Samhara Bhairava - gaya Ghat, patan darvaja hanuman mandir along with these 01 Vatuka Bhairava - Near Kamakshi Mandir 02 Rudra Bhairava - Durga Mandir 03 kedara Bhairava - Kedareswara Mandir 04 Astanga Bhairava - Near Surya kund 05 Asa Bhairava - Asa Bhairava road 06 KALA Bhairava - The Famous and Primary Abode 07 Ananda Bhairava - RamGhat, Near Sanga veda vidyalaya 08 Bindu Bhairava - Pancha ganga ghat, Near bindu Madhav Mandir 09 Nritya Bhairava - meer Ghat vridh Aditya mandir 10 Avimukta Bhairava - rajgalli near dundi mandir 11 danda pani - Back side of Kala Bhairava Mandir and Keeni ram Aghori Asram near Harishchandra Ghat It's Believed that maata Hingulaa devi of Beluchistan has been installed as a blessing to the great Keeniram Aghori

Guest guest
Sri Matre Namaha Sri Gurubhyo namaha Pranams Kasi yathra as far as I know a has two mathods People from south first go to Rameswaram temple, perform Saikatha linga pooja i.e right in the sea shore with the help of a Sasthrigal make a saikatha linga i.e linga made of sea sand and perform pooja for it and do all other poojas and rituals connected with like taking bath in 21 wells offer worship at Rameswara swamy temple etc. Then this saikatha linga is taken to Allahabad Triveni sangamam. This Saikatha linga is immersed at Triveni sangamam and holy water is taken at that place. From Allahabad one goes to Kasi . After worshipping at Kasi Viswanatha and various siva temples and annapoorneswari temple one goes to Kala Bairava temple and offer worship here. Generally Black threada " Kasi Kayaru " in Tamil and " Kasi dharam " in Telugu are offered to Kala bhairava . The poojari gives it back to the devotte. this is tied in right hand as Raksha. Visit to Kala Bhairava temple is MUST. One other temple which is considered Must is Sri Gowdi Mathaa temple. Here one offers Gowdi that is sOzhi in tamil. The story is that one lady had done some blunder invited papams and as she sought remedial measure repenting her papa karma God gave her a boon saying that whoever visits Kasi but does not visit nor strike her idol with that number fo Gowdis for the number of days they stay at Kasi their punya Karma will come to her and her papa karmas will be accordingly reduced. Since this is a moksha kshethra people perform Srardha rites to their fore fathers. Taking bath at several Ghats is considered a MUST. People then go to Gaya and again perform srardha rites. For people from South the Kasi yathra is not complete with just a visit to Kasi. THe HOLY Ganga water taken from various places inculding one from TRiveni sangamam is brought home and Pooja is offered for it THen one again goes to Rameswaram with the Holy water taken at triveni sangamam .. Abhishekam is done to the linga installed by rama with this water. this completes the Kasi Yathra for people from south. The reverse process is followed by people from north i.e Kasi -- Rameswaram-- Kasi It is believed that taking one's parents to Kasi and making them perform srardha for their parents an dfore fathers is considered as punyam. I have given only the general outline. Erudite scholars will detail more. S.Kapaleeswaran, Bangalore-560032. Guest guest
Dear raghavender, Shri Rambhatla Perrayya Sastry (our distant relative) has published a voluminous book in telugu by name *KASI RAHASYAM*. It is available in Gopal Publications and Tagore Book House, Koti. The secrets of kasi yatra are very elaborately given in that book. Just buy that book. regs, sriram , raghavender ganti <rganti9 wrote: > > Sri Gurubhyon Namaha > Dear Sir > Thanks a lot for the information, would really help me, I am curious about the do's and dont's during the kasi yatra.
