The kanyakumari amma is believed to be Bala Thirupurasundari which is

located in Kanyakumari , Southern end of our nation.

She is really guiding and guarding our nation by sitting there.

namasthe.

The punya Bhumi is protected on four sides as the one  mentioned in south, on

the North by Bhavani in kashmir ( here Swamy Vivkananda meditated for 3 days

continuosly during which he had the vision of entire creation ) and in the east

by Dakshina Kaali in calcutta and on the west by Ambaaji in ahmedabad.

Regards

I don't know how far this act of protection is being carried out. The power of

invocation actually depends on the *tapas shakti* of the upasaka who invokes the

Mother for protection. In recent past, we have seen Shri Aurobindo, Kavi

Subramanya Bharati, Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati and Vashishta Ganapati

Muni who have actually felt the protection of Mother because they have literally

poured down their tapas shakti with arpana bhava.

During the India-Pakistan War, Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati did a tantrika

prayoga and made one of his disciples to spread honey across the India border.

Shri Aurobindo & Kavi Subramanya Bharati invoked the power of Mother Kali during

the independance movement. Ganapati Muni invoked the power of Prachanda Chandi

to overcome enemies.

There was a great nrisimha upasaka in Andhra by name Shri Gogulapati

Kurmanathaiah. His favourite deity was Lord Nrisimha of Simhachalam. When

Aurangajeb was climbing the step of the temple, Shri Kurmanathaiah invoked the

power of Nrisimha and thus gushed forth a beautiful and melodious sataka called

*Nrisimha Satakam* in telugu. Immediately, a scores of honey bees from nowhere

attacked the mughal army and Aurangajeb fled from the scene. This place of

attack is still to be seen and a small memorial is also built with the name in

telugu *Tene Tigala Gutta* at Simhachalam.

So, it all depends on the *upasaka's call*, his *tapas shakti*, his *tyaga

bhava* and *atma arpana* and not on idols that are situated at corners of India.

These idols stood as mute spectators during onslaughts of mughals/ britishers,

the plunderings of Gori / Gazni, temple demolitions of Aurangajeb, rapes &

murders of hindu women by turushkas & mlecchas.

Just my 2 cents.

Bees and Aurangzeb seem to be motif. This story is told in Maharashtr of many

temples and Aurangzeb. Khandoba, Malleshvara, Mallikarjuna are all temples

supposed to have been places that Aurangzeb tried to demolish but was driven

away by bees.

In Himachal the story is told that after breaking Kashi Vishvanath Aurangzeb

asked if there was any Hindu god who could not be broken. Some Hindu said that

Jvalamukhi at Nagarakota could not be broken. Then he invaded Kangra and tried to

destroy the Jvalamukhi. The dug up the rock he placed metal plates over the fire

pits but always the fire kept emerging. Defeated he is supposed to have fled the

place.

Only in India will streets in the capital be named Aurangzeb street of Firoz

Shah street ! Will streets in Israel be named Hitler or Goebbels street?
