Guest guest Posted June 8, 2009 Report Share Posted June 8, 2009 The ancestors of one of my friends had taken Diksha from Vidyaranyar of Sringeri.He has reqested for either the Jayanti or Aaradhana of Vidyaranyar.Can any of the members help Namaskaram to all Om Shri Mathre Namah PBK Namasthe. This mail is not clear as to what sort of help is needed or sought for. Generally for a " Srividya Guru Aradhana " , depending on the number of shishyas and the monetory collections or considerations and Shraddha to one's Guru ji, several things could be arranged. But if it is done at an individual level, pl do what is minimum required as advised to me by a yogi, which is stated below. Guru and Ambaaji are one. Chanting of Guru geetha, Maha Ganapathy puja and Sankalpam followed by Navavarana puja and all related archanas like LS etc are to be done to Guru ONLY. After Arti Suvasini puja ( Minimum 5 numbers that can go up to 16 and upto 9 it must be in odd numbers) is done. This should be an elaborate one which includes all upacharas other than Avahanam with archana of Dhandini, manthrini and lalitha Naamani -thereafter santarpanai, follwed by arti to suvasinies, presenting them fruits,betel leaves, all mangala Drivyas etc and finally getting their ashirwadhams. ( Ambaaji is pleased with archana to Suvasinies) Chathur Veda parayana for 2 hrs in the evening or after Srividya navavarana puja where each Veda should be chanted by a qualified brahmin,atleast for a minimum time of 30 minutes or if one wants to conduct the entire Moola paryana of a single veda or a chathurveda parayana of all vedas, this should commence before 4 or 5 days of aradhana. If it is krama or ghana parayana it may take more number of days. Where it is collectively done it goes on very elaborately for 3 days,and includes Chandi parayana,abhishekams with rudram and chamakam,Thithi Nithya Puja to Suvasinies,Kameshwara - Kameshwary Pujas to Upaska Dhampathies,Kanya pujas,all Homas starting with Ganapathy homa, Chandi homa, srividya Homa,and several other homas like bala,manthrini,dhandini,Vaarahi etc are done depending on the capacity to arrange with shraddha. Apart from Veda parayana,Veda Sathas also takes place and generally Suvasinies do Vilaku Puja also.During the free time artists are called in to sing Navavarana Keerthanas and other Devi keerthans composed by Trimurthies of Carnatik music. By Ambaa's grace I have participated in Pujya Goda Sastrigal's Guru Aradhana, done in a grand manner. The entire atmosphere with several upasakas and Upasakies doing japa ,puja and homa around bring you the feeling of being in Sripura. What is important, is that the Aradhana should be done year after year and not a one time affair. In reality it is Ambaaji who in the form of Guru through Manthra gives us Deeksha. This is the precise reason that mantras taken from books and meditated upon without deeksha is fruitless. The emphasis in on Guru and without him only darkness or ignorance would prevail. there is no Srividya or Brahma vidya and She is naturally the Parabhattarika.
