Namaskaram All

I admit I was generalising. But it wa with respect to the topic of what food is

to be eaten and what prayschitham is to be done.

I was generally pointing out that our habits are vastly different from what was

allowed not allowed by our sutadaris. To digress for the moment even amogst

brahmins the eating habits vary. For instance in Bengal Sumangalis are supposed

to take fish (fresh water)

In Manusmriti WHEN PRESCRIBING OOD TO BE TAKEN AFTER A FAST OR PRAYSCHITHAM THE

EQUIVALENT OF SMALL ONIONS IS GIVEN

SO ULTIMATELY WHAT IS REQUIRED IS CONTROL OF ONES MIND

?When you sit for puja or japa or parayana you must be clean in body and

mind. That is the requirement, and AMMA WILL ACCEPT IT.

Namasthe.

Each Jivathma is born with certain tendencies and gets carried away with Raga

and dwesha (likes and dislikes) due to Vasanas of earlier births and food

definitely acts as a promoter to these vasanas carried in Mind.

It is not only Non-Veg food but also includes certain Veg foods like

garlic, onions, excess of sweets, sour or salty food intakes, artificial

juices,?Veg cooked foods stored in deep freezer, veg food kept in

fridge?etc?influences negatively?the Mind.
