Guest guest
havent heard any mantram recited during the abhishekam. I have observed that the priests are quite and did the abhishegam very fast. Infact I was actually expecting...sri suktam, durga suktam etc . Namasthe. Aghishkam can be done by just chanting the shodasi mantra to Kaamakshi Ambaal and due to the ever growing rush to these temples, as a service to devotees they could have curtailed the elaborate procedures, which doesn't mean pujas are not done as per the established procedures. The Guru Parampara of the priests belongs to the Guhananda Mandali which needs no introduction and the priests are under direct control of Acaryals of Kaanchi which indicates that all the aradhana to Ambaal is done as per established procedures of Durvasa Maha Rishi. Guest guest
The last time I visited this temple, there is not even a dIpa near rAjashyAmala. Looking around it looked like it was not cleaned for a couple of days. I wonder if that is still the situation. , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > > ?havent heard any mantram recited during the abhishekam. Guest guest
They usually have someone chanting Rudram chamakam + pancha suktams, this happens at the side to the right of the deity. So it may not be visible or audible to all. regards Vishwam ________________________________ Satish <satisharigela Friday, June 19, 2009 1:20:54 AM Re: Kaamakshy Temple The last time I visited this temple, there is not even a dIpa near rAjashyAmala.
